Removing tape residue from vinyl decal?

There is no residue on the decal as far as i can tell. It seems like it is oil or something that has seeped into the material. I actually had an xpel shop install this and they could not remove the marks.

Removing tape residue from vinyl decal?

I bought a vinyl decal from china for a project on my car. The decal was rolled up in a tube and a piece of tape had been applied to keep it tight. Well the tape or adhesive or whatever from the tape absorbed into the vinyl and nothing I have tried will remove it. I have tried water, soapy...

best product to clean the underside (Frame) of the car?

I want to find something that comes in a spray bottle or aerosol. Hopefully good at removing oil/tar/dirt/mud etc, mainly on painted/coated steel frame. I believe the frame is zinc coated and then painted with something from the factory I'm not sure what. But there is some exposed steel under...

Marks on front glass where rubber wipers sit. How to remove and keep from coming back?

glass cleaner, 91% isopropyl alcohol and paint thinner didn't work. The wiper blades are the OEM that came brand new with the car. I think I need to use a polishing compound perhaps. Funny enough I'm trying to super clean the glass to apply a rain repelling coating. The blades might be due...

Marks on front glass where rubber wipers sit. How to remove and keep from coming back?

I noticed on my car that I have some dark marks from where the rubber wipers sit on the glass. I can't seem to get it off. I was thinking of trying paint thinner next. Also how to keep it from coming back? Is there some sort of coating I need to apply to the glass or to the wipers themselves?

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

My only concern about the PNS is that I have read it is hard to wipe off cleanly. Also when it starts to lose its hydrophobicity do you need to remove it somehow? Removal can be a nightmare for some products.

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

I have been looking into it a bunch but there aren't a lot of reviews yet of it. My concern would be removal. I read somewhere you need to use a special chemical to remove it.

Any good coatings/wraps for protecting plastic exterior parts from scratches?

I've been doing some research into this and haven't found a whole lot. Some of the coatings (like Line-X ultra) seem to do the job but are permanent and pricey (basically a paint). Others like XPEL trackwrap or trakktape or track armour are temporary. I have thought that a ppf like xpel that...

Best product to prevent plastic dash offgassing?

One of the most annoying things in any car I have owned has always been the plasticizers offgassing and coming out of the dash and depositing on the inside of the front glass. It is always a huge pain to get off the glass. So my two questions are: what is the best product to get it off the...

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

Replacing my rear tailgate is a little more than I'm willing to do, especially with a 2019 model vehicle. I would rather just live with it.

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

Well it is the same pattern on each side if you folded my tailgate in half lol. That's the weird part. I tried adding more 303 to the panel and it totally covered it up. However within hours it started showing up again. After a few days it looks like the picture I posted again.

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

It probably does come apart. It is just not sold separately.

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

I don't think they are lying. Sometimes the manufacturer only sells the part all together. For example there are some removable clips I broke taking off another trim panel and I found out from the parts department (they called Chrysler) that you cannot get them separately and have to buy a new...

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

2019 Jeep Cherokee. I don't trust the dealers to replace my entire rear tailgate since they said they have to repaint the new panel and transfer the glass, wiring, etc. The part alone is $1200. They did say that I can take it up with Chrysler customer service if I want to push the issue. It...

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

I can't pull them out, they are a composite piece. My vehicle is under warranty and I went to the dealer about it and they said that the entire rear hatch needs to be replaced because it is a single "part" you cannot buy just the plastic separately or replace it separately. They also denied my...

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

About 2.5 years old Some other people I have talked with believe it wasn't the 303 that did it and instead was a defect in the plastic from manufacture, called blooming where the release agent causes a staining of the plastic. I'm not sure either way.

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

So I have black plastic inside my vehicle and on one of the panels I used 303 aerospace and it seems to have stained the panel/absorbed into the plastic. Is there any way to fix this? I have noticed that if I put more 303 on it temporarily masks the stain but it soon (a few hours to days...

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

From what I am reading are you supposed to use the PNS over the top of a regular wax? Or is the shine/hydro properties good enough that you don't need to? I have grey metallic paint and want to bring out the sparkle/shine. Have you tried any of those newer silicon spray coatings? Or are...

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

I have xpel ppf installed on most of my vehicle except the roof and I'm looking for something to put over the top of the film that will give it that water repellant character as well as enhance the shine. However, I don't want to have to deal with polishing or compounding it off in the future...
