what do u mean by "spur the pad often"?

okay so ive compounded then polished twice.. but i cant get all the scratches out.. theres just a ffew lines running down in random areas.. should i just leave it? i dont see the point in polishing it over and over again if the car is about 95% scratch free.. what do u think?

Suppose your trying a mild polish on a white pad and it isnt doing much and u wanna switch to a compound.. but, you only have one white pad.. can u just clean off the pad and apply the compoud with no worries?

i have another question unrelated to the topic.. when your using lets say optimum compound on orange pad, you should run it at speed 6 with 15 pounds of pressure applied, and moving slowly.. now when you run optimum polish on white pad, should you apply less pressure and use a slightly lower...
