I have hard water and it will spot instantly if I wash in the direct sunlight. My work around is only to wash cars in late afternoon just before the sun sets. I give myself a 45 min window to get it done before it's dark. Once the sun is low in the sky it doesn't seem to leave water spots.

it looks like those are the clean areas where solution cut thru all the grime. try cleaning it again with a soft brush to see if it more of it lightens up. maybe what happen was where the spray directly hit the leather is where it is very clean and lighter in shade.

Don't worry it won't sling. Everytime I get new tires I notice how slippery they are, easy to burnout, slide in turns. After about a hundred miles it's back to normal. Take it easy while driving, don't drive aggressive.

try letting it run most single stage compressors will auto shutoff from 130-140psi. is yours a double stage compressor? I would just let it run to see when it shuts off. if it gets to 170 psi shut it off, the switch maybe bad or need adjustment.
