Thanks. The bp is new, I switched from the 6" to 5" bp when I first got my Rupes 21 but none of my suppliers had 5" microfiber cutting pads in stock so bought the 6" instead.

You should try and order from Olde town auto spa, I know they carry Lake Country HD pads. Prices are good and you'll get your order in 2 days approximately.

Honestly I've been using my Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate and KB mod. I'm using Lake Country CCS pads and never had an issue with them flying off the backing plate. Maybe its just the Buff & Shine pads.

Nope, it's been a few years now and he hasn't even thought about painting it. Now I wish he would maintain it better. All my hard work and the paint now is swirled to hell. I shouldn't complain, he'll be calling again to have it polished soon...lol

Just pick up a 6" backing plate, I got mine from a local auto body supplier. I used the Trizac system and it does a good job but I still would compound first before polishing.

Thanks dsharpe89, I dealt mostly with a distributor called Paint Ciruit for years but they were purchased by Keystone and now it seems they have reduced the products they carry. Just checked Acklands website and showing almost all Meguiars Products Discontinued.
