    Antique Car Detailing Clay

I have been using the new improved Megs claybar kit. It has pretty good chemical resistance. I can clay a car using Carpro Iron X Snowfoam mixed into a spray bottle and make through the entire car before it shows signs of breaking down. It is not as soft as the older Megs white clay, so I...

Hybrid Solutions- A Brand of it's own!

Do chemical torture tests on freshly cured sealant really emulate real world experiences? I personally think that the UV from the sun over 6 months is probably the biggest cause for sealants to breakdown.

    Recommended clay substitute?

The mitts are probably the easiest to use. The towels are more versatile. After trying several mitts, towels, blocks and pucks I still mainly use a traditional claybar. Yes it is slower and you have to be concerned with dropping it, but it also cleans better than the substitutes do.

    Hard water etching

Its a long shot, but about a year ago I cleaned up the same type of trim on an older MB with DG Squeaky Clean. I was using it to prep for a coating and realized that that trim that I had given up on had been cleaned up after DG SC. Not sure if dissolved years of built up film/water spots or...

Tar removal - Citrol or Tarminator

You can get Tardis in the USA, but you have to buy large amount and you need to be able to pick it up from the US distributor that is located near Philly. They won't ship it to you house. It doesn't ship by FEDEX/UPS

White road stripe paint on a black car

GOOF OFF overspray remover is always the first thing I try when normal washing won't remove it. I have had very surprising results with it. When that doesn't work then I will try removing it with claybar. Then after that you're picking at the paint blobs with a plastic razor.

DG AW vs. UQW Showdown (as toppers)

When I had a solid black car I always felt that UQW left a slight blueish hue to the car. It was more obvious in certain lighting. I prefer DGAW. I also refer DGAW to Beadmaker. Glad I didn't buy a whole gallon of it during the hype.

SCRATCH X 2.0 AND DA polisher

You could save it and use it for hand polishing the recess under door handles. I think that is probably it's most common use. I use UC to hand polish those areas.

    Which polisher to get, NEXT

Use your Torx with a 3" backing plate. Use your GG6 with 5" or 6" plates depending on what pads you own. Get whatever geared forced rotation polisher you decided upon. You could do just about anything with those 3 machines
