    Purple Porsche

Yeah, purple looks really good on that Porsche. Growing up my neighbor had a dune buggy with a fiberglass body that had a metallic purple paint like that. Great effect in the full sun.

Flagged tipped brush & Duragloss #253

Zep's Purple Industrial cleaner will get your tire brushes clean. However, its powerful (truly industrial) and not health friendly, so be careful using it. Your body will absorb it through your skin, and vapor through your eyes and lungs. I wish it was a safe cleaner because it is the best...

    Recommendations For Glossiest Spray Wax

Sorry I meant the Duragloss Rinseless Wash with Aquawax. Not the Waterless which is RTU.

    Recommendations For Glossiest Spray Wax

Maybe a wipe down with DG Aquawax Waterless Wash n Wax like a detail spray would suit your needs. You'll get a cleaner paint surface and the protection of the AW. I actually think this stuff lasts longer than the normal AW. And you can control the concentration to meet your needs.

3.5 or 3 inch mini pads

I like that yellow Rupes pad too. I've substituted the B&S Euro-tech maroon pad for the Rupes green because they do not last long for me. I also like the B&S yellow polishing pad too. Better prices than the Rupes. They do not seem to have any negative affect on the polishers balance/vibration.

3.5 or 3 inch mini pads

Don't the Thin pros have a 3" velcro backing for use with a 3" BP.

3.5 or 3 inch mini pads

The Cyclo pads are the same size too.

3.5 or 3 inch mini pads

The B&S 4" pads have a Velcro backing that measures 3.5". I use these pads on my Festool gear driven forced rotation DA that has a 90mm backing plate. Those pads fit just right

The white foam pad that comes with a Porter Cable Polisher

I have been using these pads to apply Megs #7 after the first 1-2 rounds applied by hand. I like that diamond plate idea

LC UDOS now 5 in 1!!

Wow. Wonder how much adding the rotary mode added to the cost. Any ideas when this will be released? Seems like we first learned about this polisher at least a year ago.

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

How about heating up the tire before application. I have had to do that with the M37 one when it was a bit too chilly.

    Hobby Steam Cleaner?

The Shark brand steamer is fairly cheap. Probably about the same quality. I don't use it alot but it has always worked fine for me. If you have Kolhs near you, you can use their coupons and Kolhs cash to make it cheaper

Ideas for removing urethane paint and overspray from new cloth convertible top?

Well done keeping calm. I think I would have lost my temper and done something stupid. Back in the early 90's I had an apartment complex not refund me my security deposit because they claimed that there was a huge (like 3'x3') section of carpet missing in the middle of the living room. Which...

Ideas for removing urethane paint and overspray from new cloth convertible top?

My goodness. You should out this body shop on this forum so that no one here would ever use them.

To Prime or Not to Prime (and a question for Joe at Next Level Detailing)

Several drops on the pad face then dab the pad numerous times over the section to be polished, then start up the polisher. It only really matters on that first section. Its primed plenty after that. I only prime MF pads and that's pretty lightly coated using my fingertips.

Does buffing heat result in clear coat failure

I agree. I can't say that I've ever heated up a panel as hot as a panel would get in full direct summer sun. All your UV absorbers and blockers are either used up or have been removed with the repeated polishing. Now the sun's UV is breaking apart the molecular bonds in the clear coat.

    GG6 or GG3

The Harbor Freight DA has the tightest shroud compared to the GG6 and the PC if you're looking for the most clearance. It's cheap and has plenty of power. The newest version has a smaller more slender body now. My GG3 is permanently a GG2. I use a HF with the GG 3" HD backing plate for when I...

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

That's a really good price for the quart compared to all the other tire coatings. How do you plan on applying it? With one of those Carrand tire brushes that are recommended for the M37 tire coating or a normal foam tire swipe? I wonder how good air brush application would be. Any word if...

Coated my tires today and WOW,

Does anyone have any experience with the Black Pearl used to restore trim? Can you compare it to Solutions Finish? Does it spread far? I would not think the roller would be necessary on smooth/light textured trim. I'm thinking about a small bottle of the black tinted gloss and matte and...
