I started with 600-800 grit wetsanding, then 1000, 1500, and a final 2000 before compound and wax.

Yeh our 96 civic is the same way. I've wetsanded, compound, and waxed. outside looks clear but inside is cloudy. i'm sure the inside plastic takes a beating by the sun as well. I've never done it but baking at a low temp for a short period will soften the glue on the housing to separate to get...

this is something i've wondered about myself. so 2000-2500 is the most to be used. should it be a side to side or circular motion when wet sanding? so if a heavy compound with wool pad doesnt work, wetsand?
