    Does Duragloss mute Metal Flake?

Thanks for the good info Richy! I have been researching 501 a lot. How much correcting ability does 501 have? The reason I ask is that I am prepping to do my first full detail on my black 2008 Subaru which has marring, light scratches and RIDS (not through the CC) from being a DD and hauler...

UWW+ and DG 931: cleaning and protection abilities

Hey everyone, Was thinking of trying rinseless for weekly/ biweekly maintance washes and wanted to get your opinions on UWW+ and DG 931 since I have read that many people swear by them. How do they compare for cleaning ability such as bugs? Also, how does the poly charger in UWW+ compare to...

What's a better LSP: DG 601/105, PNS, OOS?

I might be talking crazy here, but could you layer DG111 over DG601/105 for added protection? Would it be worth the extra work? I believe that 111 is a pure sealant so it shouldn't remove the 105, correct? Crazy or Really Crazy? Geoguy

What's a better LSP: DG 601/105, PNS, OOS?

Thanks for all the input guys. Has any one had any streaking problems with PNS? Also, can you top PNS with #845? Geoguy

Newbie that needs help with the most basic step....washing!

Thanks guys for the responses! I think I'll get a foam gun to help in the washing process. The foam gun and mitt process for washing sounds like something I'd like to try, but those of you that do that, how do you keep the hose from hitting the car, especially tall ones? Geoguy

What's a better LSP: DG 601/105, PNS, OOS?

Hey Autogeeks, In your opinion, which is a better LSP in terms of durability (long Michigan winters with tons of salt), ease of application, cost (just a hobby) and glossiness for a black subaru, DG 601/105, Sonax PNS or Optimum opti-seal? I will be using AW as a drying aid and to help boost...

Newbie that needs help with the most basic step....washing!

Thanks for the responses guys! I do know all about the DISO for new cars, as I (and I hate to admit it) probably helped on that option when I worked a dealership years ago. As for the leaf blower, I assume that once I get a good LSP on that would take care of most if not all of the water, you...

Foam Gun [No Access to Pressure Washer]

Dogfather said that he does not add ONR to the foam gun, but has anybody added it for extra lubricity and encapsulation of the dirt (when you foam and wipe at the same time) similar to added a little to your wash? Or would screw with the foaming of the soap or the gun itself? cheers geoguy

Foam Gun [No Access to Pressure Washer]

Hey Detailingnoob, Sorry I don't have the answers (noob as well), but I am in the same boat about foam guns. Are they worth it? I've considered them since I have a black subie with soft paint and want to minimize the potential for scratchs and swirls. Any response will benefit us both...

Hello! from a frozen Michigan newbie

Maybe not so bad to some of you, but here are a few stories from my “detail shop” days: An old guy I worked with named “Brownie”, who also ran a bodyshop out of his garage, claimed he was a professional and an expert and loved to use his rotary and wool pads. He would squirt probably...

Hello! from a frozen Michigan newbie

Thanks all for the welcomes! I can't wait untill all this snow melts (this winter was our second highest snowfall on record - 111") and I can finally really clean my car. It is thrashed with two small kids, two dogs and all the salt and sand that Michigan likes to put on the roads. Cheer! Geoguy

Hello! from a frozen Michigan newbie

Long time listener, first time caller as they say. Just wanted to introduce myself and can't wait to start talking to you guys about detailing. My eyes have definitely been opened after finding AG. I do have some "experience", back in college I worked in the "detail shop" of a dealership and...
