    Am I doing something wrong?

You are exactly correct. I don't have the expertise to start recommending products to someone unless they have worked for me, however, 105 and 205 are all over this forum which is why I bought them in the first place. I can now see that Wolfgang products works much better for what I need to...

Well it looks the like wolfgang was just the ticket. Got out there today and tried it on the hood after the M105. Paint looks extra clear no more scratches or marring. Thanks everybody for your help! :xyxthumbs:

    Leatherique first time

I used this a few times on my 97 Rollls Royce silver spur to soften up the leather when I got it because being an older car it was a little firm. The stuff actually works pretty well. I put some on an applicator and wiped it on enough to leave it slightly wet. I applied to all surfaces I wanted...

    Am I doing something wrong?

thanks for the quick replies! The car is Matador red. I am going to try again and see if the scratches may be from the 105. I also have the wolfgang swirl remover and finishing glaze on hand. Should I try that instead? or use the 105 and use the WG finishing glaze instead of the 205?

    Am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone, I am trying to do a nice thing for my mom and clean up her Lexus rx350 a little bit. It is long overdue. I have a portercable 7424xp and I bought some orange, white and blue lake county flat faced pads. I also got some M105 and M205 and some wolfgang 3.0 paint sealer. I got all this...

Anybody have a tip to remove this residue from the paint?

I was afraid that might be the case.. I tried to rub the area today with compound and nothing changed. Looks like I might have to tell her to live with it or cover it with a new sticker.

Anybody have a tip to remove this residue from the paint?

Hmm...the sticker was removed before she got the car. I tried pretty much every product thus far that is not too aggressive. Goo gone, mineral spirits even clay. Nothing is taking it off. I know wet sanding is not the best option but could it be done lightly to even just make the area less...

Anybody have a tip to remove this residue from the paint?

thank you all for the ideas! I have tried most of the basic stuff, goo gone, mineral spirits. Maybe I'll try some clay or try and heat it up. Just afraid to hurt the paint.

Anybody have a tip to remove this residue from the paint?

Hi guys, So my girlfriend saw me get all my new detailing stuff in the mail and is begging me to try it all on her car. She got this car about a year ago and on the back of the trunk there is residue from a sticker the previous owner must have had on the paint. I have tried all the basic...

A little overwhelmed with my boat

yea it looks like based on what everyone is telling me I may be better off trying a rotary for the oxidation. hopefully if I remove the oxidation and then use the PC for regular wax application I wont ever have to do this again. How often do you guys apply wax? every 4-6 months?

A little overwhelmed with my boat

damaged442, I replaced my old "car waxer" brand vibrating waxer that was ancient with the porter cable in hopes of using it on the boat. I am glad you are finding it useful. I am going to try the wool pad on the speed 6 setting without wet sanding and see how it does.

A little overwhelmed with my boat

BTW, mike wow! that is all I can say about your boat. After seeing your work all over this forum I expect nothing less but that thing looks brand new! If mine looked half as good I would be thrilled as a beginner to detailing! Excellent work!

A little overwhelmed with my boat

ok thank you all very much for the replies. I can tell I made a mistake listening to that guy. I have only done a small portion of the boat. I would like to get the sides done next from the water line to the rub rails. If I stop wet sanding and try just compounding first, would I be able to...

A little overwhelmed with my boat

Hi everyone, New guy here on the forum. (I also posted this in the ask the expert section but I think this might might be the correct place instead) I am also pretty new to extensive boat detailing. I have owned boats for a long time but as far as protection I have always just applied some wax...

Newbie with question about a boat

Hi everyone, New guy here on the forum and also pretty new to extensive boat detailing. I have owned boats for a long time but as far as protection I have always just applied some wax. I was recently really looking over my 2006 Grady White 300 marlin. I ran my hand on the sides of the boat and...
