Flex 3401 is Frozen with the BP Plate attached.

I take the BP plate off and the motor spins just fine. I put the backing plate back on and the motor engages. but the plate doesn't budge. I have clearance all the way around. What is baffling to me, is what is supposed to move. Is the inner ring supposed to spin? Mine is frozen and that...

    Pitching your services??

I was struggling to get my name out there, just like you. I created some really nice Gift Certificates, and dropped off two at each VERY LARGE real estate offices, with a note that I know they run contests, and these could be used as a prize. The next day I got calls from the Office Managers...

    Degreaser

We use Zep Purple Degreaser on everything with great results and cut it 5 to 1(5 parts water to 1 part Zep), and it is available at Home Depot and Lowes in 5 gallon containers. Engines, door/trunk jambs, wheel wells, gas cap area, wheels, and barrels come out great.

    Marekting Company Called Signpost

No, but that is why I was asking if anyone had looked at them or used them. Thanks

    Marekting Company Called Signpost

Anyone heard of them or used them. They pinged me, with the usual great promises, but reviews are not so overwhelming on the web

Contests - Dirty Interior Contest - A Miserable Failure

I definitely have the word of mouth, but I am hearing from people walking in, they had no idea I was in my location. I really like the idea of giving out cards. A new practice will be started. Thanks Steve

Contests - Dirty Interior Contest - A Miserable Failure

Contests - Dirty Interior Contest - A Miserable Failure

I ran a contest - Submit Your Dirty Interior pic on FB and let the community vote and the top vote getter wins a free detail. Put it on Facebook, Linkedin, and the website. It failed miserably, not one person posted a pic. My goal was to get people to post their pics and get friends to vote to...

    Express detail problem

One more for awesome advice - Have had to deal with many customers that were not willing to pay the price for what their vehicle needed, or simply did not comprehend what I told them Had a customer today that balked at my exterior detail price, so I told him we could do a Mini Detail at the...

This could affect your business BIG TIME

I love Yelp, it is our main business driver and I have not given them a dime. They have tried, but with 77 5 stars and 2 one star, I pretty much tell them to pound sand. Not one is fake or paid for, although people have tried to extort us. On top of it, all of my reviews are novels, I have...

    First ferrari

Wow, this has taken in interesting turn. A Ferrari is no different than a Prius. I do at least one Ferrari a month, and they are no different than any other car. If you have to worry about burning paint, or causing damage, I would have a serous concern about skills to do any car. Here is a...

    Rate my packages?

:iagree: Way. way too much detail, make the product stuff generic. No one knows what Jet Seal is, or what M205 is. More items on the list is NOT better, it is simply too confusing for the uninitiated customers and that will be 90% of your customer base. They will leave your site and not...

    What am I doing wrong?

:iagree::dblthumb2: This!!!! Rock Solid advice. Along with slowing down and THINK about what you are doing. The best detail on the planet is one that is thought out before taking action. Based on your one van experience, it is blatantly obvious you arenot thinking through the job in front of...

    Setting Expectations

:iagree::iagree: Simply put you MUST set expectations before they leave. When a customer comes in to my shop I go over the car and discuss what is covered and what is not. Being able to read and comprehend is not a requirement for owning a car, it should be but it isn't. Customers do not...

Any good leads from car shows?

I do quite a few shows and generate good business from them. But you have to have a little PT Barnum/showmanship in you. Tri-fold brochures are the ticket at a car show. I have tried a single sheet, a two sided sheet, and they just did not click. The Tri-fold seems to extend a classier, more...

Headlight Restorations: Best Product & Warranties?

Let There Be Light I have not found anything better than this product. A touch tricky to use, but well worth it. I will put a 5 year guarantee on headlights restored with this product. I also use Zaino's Clear Seal and will do a 1 year guarantee with it. So far no one has returned for...

    Buisness started need help

Looks like everyone has the partnership drill well covered, but little about building the business. When I first started I refused to do any washes for anyone but existing customers. Big mistake and learned that those non-customers can turn into a huge customer very quickly. As an example had...

My Journey To Reach A 7-figure Auto Detailing Business

I would be very interested in progress. While I think the goal are lofty and there is nothing wrong with that, reality may dictate something else. I am especially interested in the hiring aspect. I have car people/artists working in my shop. They are absolutely outstanding and do all of the...

    Getting Known

Funny, I have gotten nothing but compliments on this site and it's ease of use by my customer base. It absolutely follows the newest web design standards and internally takes advantage of SEO. Viewing source you are only seeing a very, very minor portion of what makes this site work. I...

    Getting Known

No worries, that site is setup to be very specific. The front page is simple by design. When you have too much on the front page the customer loses interest and moves on. The goal is to keep it very simple and have them come inside. The pages are short an simple for the same reason. You have...
