What's the latest 'trend' in ONR washing?

Thank you again everyone. My car tends to scratch/swirl easily so I want to take every precaution (hence the power wash, pre-spray, pre-spray again...). But maybe I'll start small and see how it goes. If I see so new swirls using 1 bucket and w/o the extra pre-spray I'll continue that method...

What's the latest 'trend' in ONR washing?

Also, do you guys find that 2 gallons of water is enough, or do you end up making up another batch? If the MF is going to be dripping wet going from bucket to car, I feel like I'm going to use/lose a lot of solution and will quickly run out (I'm doing a small SUV).

What's the latest 'trend' in ONR washing?

It's been a while since I've done an ONR wash (lately have been doing traditional washes), and wanted to get a quick refresher on the latest/greatest methods of using ONR. I've read through about a dozen threads this week and just wanted to post what I plan to do and then get your...

My solution to $150 foam guns...

Hi all. Any idea if this is worth trying: Karcher Foam Nozzle ? Obviously I'd need a container but for $20 it seems like a great deal.

My solution to $150 foam guns...

What soap did you use and what ratio of soap/water? I haven't had much luck getting great foam. Better than a gilmour, but still not great.

How to clean inside of rear window

Thanks everybody! I have the stoner's tool but was afraid to use it on the defroster lines. But it sounds like it's ok to do so and I'll carefully give it a try.

How to clean inside of rear window

How do you guys clean the inside of a rear window? I'm afraid of ruining the defroster 'lines'... Can I just user stoner's glass cleaner and a MF and carefully go in the direction of the lines? Thanks.

    Quick wiper question

Thanks. I'll check the wiper/washer line when my wife gets home. I'm sure hoping it's something simple...

    Quick wiper question

Another good idea, thanks (I must not be thinking clearly today, must be the weather...). I'll try cleaning the window (with Stoner's glass cleaner that I just realized I have) and try the KAIO afterwords. I don't think it's that easy to find the specific Q5 rear wiper OTC (I could be...

    Quick wiper question

Sorry, I know there are other posts on this but I need a quick response if possible. My wife just called me from the pouring rain saying the rear wiper in our Q5 is really dragging across the window/not working well, and the rear fluid isn't working. It's going to take me several days to...

Poor customer service from Autogeek - won't refund money

I could be completely wrong, but I thought that even if a card was cancelled that a merchant could put a return through (and presumably cancel a hold on), and that it 'flowed' to the replacement card. Also, as someone else mentioned, was this a credit or debit card? If a credit card, a 'hold'...

    Strong Car Wash/Shampoo??

Dawn? Haven't tried it personally but I think a lot of people use that to strip wax (and I assume it cleans thoroughly as well).

To go METRO VAC or NO?

Same question here. Is there a good electric leaf blower that provides the same HP/CFM/MPH etc... of the metro master blaster that is priced around $100 or so? If so, dods the metro blaster do anything better that causes it to be so pricey? Seems to me that 'air flow' is 'air flow' assuming...

What shampoo is best against water spotting?

Of the more popular shampoos out there, are any noticeably better than others are reducing water spots? Often times I find that by the time I'm ready to go around the car and dry it with a towel (after a 2bm wash using Gold Class), I've got a lot of water spots forming. I'd like to reduce...
