    Flex PE-08 owners... hologram worries?

I second wanting a lower speed setting I rarely go above speed two except for maybe a single pass while doing heavy correction ona tight area. Speed 1 and the black finishing pad with sf4500 or v38 and no obvious holograms even after several washes with my own vehicle.

Cyclo or Rupes for my first polisher?

I have never used the cyclo but I love my Rupes 15 I picked up a few months ago and have used a lot already. I started out with a HF which I switched over to my small pad tool until recently getting the flex kompakt which is an awesome tool for small jobs using 1 2 or 3 inch backing plates.

    Opinions On Chemical Guys?

I really like v36 and v38; however, I was disappointed in the cutting ability of v32 and v34. Honeydew and citrus w&g are awesome out of the foam gun. I also use nonsense regularily for a variety of cleaning jobs even for stuff around the house. I put two ounces of striper scent on my bissel...

    Polisher Suggestions For A Newbie?

I started with the harbour freight DA which I used and abused for a year straight with no problems before going to the rupes DA and flex rotary. That being said I bet the PC or GG have the same if not more power and less vibration.

    Pe-8 vs pe-14

I got my pe8 and pe8 kit yesterday and had a chance to use it for taking out 5000 grit marks along some edging on my mustang restoration project. All I can say is this thing is silky smooth and very powerful. The 2 inch green pad with 2 drops of m105 quickly made work of the marks in 3 passes on...

mculloch 1375 not spraying water? Sputtering...

my 1375 sputters for a second or 2 if I let it sit for a while during use but quickly starts shooting out a steady plume of steam.

    Mculloch 1275 or 1375?

It makes cleaning counters, base boards, inside of my refrigerator, dog kennels, leather couch with marker stains from my 3 year old, house windows\mirrors, and laminatefloors super easy and fast. Those are the uses so far outside of auto detailing that I have tried so far.

Your favorite pad + why it's your fave :-)

I have only been machine polishing for a year but for these tasks I have really come to like the Rupes and cg white pads. They seem to distribute the product well and are able to conform to contours easily.

    Mculloch 1275 or 1375?

I love my 1375 that I recently purchased for primarily doing the interiors of vehicles but I find some new use for it outside of that nearly every day.

Clayed my car and scratched the hell out of it

The first clay application on my black Mercedes was with medium grade and it left noticeable marring but I was polishing after anyways so it wasn't an issue. I now use an ultra fine grade clay mitt for maintenance and haven't noticed any marring. I constantly rinse the mitt during use as well.

    Pe-8 vs pe-14

I just ordered the pe8 kit last night, can't wait to try it out on my mustang restoration project on some areas I have been struggling to reach with my 3 in da setup!

    The Blue Rupes Pad

I had similar issues and followed the priming protocol which eliminated the major slinging.

My attempt at glass polishing. Decent results!

I plan on using the same products and method on my 92 mustang that I am restoring. The glass is in horrific shape so I hope to get good results, really any improvement would be great. Thanks for the write up as I now have more confidence to make my first attempt at polishing glass!
