    Another use for XMT

Totally correct. Always thought the filthy interior surfaces were just a part of life in Vegas! With the light beige interior I have now it just drove me to scrub! I'll probably try Pinnacle with my birthday discount order (keeps growing). Is Pinnacle and Wolfgang that much superior to Megs?

Met Ray Bradbury Last Night @ a library

Forgive the slip of the memory, JSR. Stranger in a Strange Land was one of the ones that got me started!!!!;) Or Podkayne of Mars? And lets not dis Masters Burroughs and Verne who started the whole genre!!!!! What an otherworldly off-topic you've started, Lauren!:D

    Another use for XMT

Hi All, A week ago I scrubbed down the interior of my 328ci totally with a 10 to 1 of Simple Green. It did a wonderfull job! Cleaner than when I bought it 3 years ago. I had been using Lexol for about 8 years on my interiors, yet always had a major problem with dirt/dust collecting on all...

Met Ray Bradbury Last Night @ a library

Something Wicked This Way Comes is a major classic of his. Also, some of the most widely read are "The Martian Chronicles". These were also made into a great TV mini-series (5 parts I think) about 15 or more years ago. Excellent cast (Rock Hudson, etc) and is available on VHS and DVD rental. Do...

Met Ray Bradbury Last Night @ a library

I envy you Lauren. Ray Bradbury has been one of my favorite authors for over 40 years!! Right there with Issac Azimov and Arthur C Clarke. One of my favorite stories was "A Sound of Thunder", which was made into a pretty good movie a couple years ago. Great story, mediocre CGI effects. But...

Anybody tried Poorboy's Polish w/ Carnauba?

I just used the EX (2 coats, three hours apart) and it looks beautiul. Followed with a coat of Natty's Blue. However, my finish is fairly pitted on the hood (Vegas stones and gravel:() and I wonder if the PwS would help a bit with its filling properties. Also, did I miss a step in working the...

LC CCS vs Edge flat vs Edge Wave pads

Aaron - Thanks for the reply. This is what I suspected from looking at them. As I've never used a rotary I didn't see what the Wave's advantage would be. Still not sure if I'll move over to the Edge sysem. I have only my one car to care for and have to see if the switch is going to be...

LC CCS vs Edge flat vs Edge Wave pads

abrcrombe - Thanks, I was wondering about the quality of the foam. The LC CCS pads are the first I had ordered and the quality is very high. I have the 4 inch LC pads and they seem much more susceptable to wear. The LC CCS pads have gone through a long day of heavy use and with a good cleaning...

LC CCS vs Edge flat vs Edge Wave pads

abrcrombe - What's making you think of changing to the CCS pads?

LC CCS vs Edge flat vs Edge Wave pads

I have a full set of 7,5 inch and 4 inch LC CCS pads. Just spent about 12 hours on my 328ci with them. Noticed that while the 7.5 LC CCS pads work very well, I really like the idea of the Edge pads and would like to try them soon. Anyone have a comparison of the Edge Wave vs regular (flat)...

    Tire cleaning

Rsurfer - Mines a 2000 328ci with lowered suspension and M series staggered rims. Had major dust collection!!! (like yours?) You may want to check out Hawke Ceramic Performance pads. I changed over to these and have about a third as much dust as before!!:) Plus much better stopping. To anyone...

    Tire cleaning

Reddwarf - Great link. Inspires me to do mine right! Question - I have painted rims and last time I pulled and cleaned them I noticed that the insides of the rims are really rough, like they had never been polished after painting. How do you think a 4" orange pad and NXT #3 polish would work on...

    Paint Chip Repair, Dr. Colorchip?

Bill and Ron123 - Thanks for the response! I checked and the Touchup123 system seems much more straightforward. The thing I was wary about at the Dr. Colorchip site is that they don't give the specifics on application until after you've purchased the product. Which seemed almost a bit shady...

    Paint Chip Repair, Dr. Colorchip?

Hi All, I have a bit of "road rash" (paint chips) on the hood and front bumper. The Vegas area is constantly under construction and gravel etc abounds! I want to repair the rash and have been doing research. I could go to a paint shop, but it's my daily driver (only driver actually) and I...

Need help on pad/paste wax application. Also PC 7336sp vs 7424

Hi all, I got my order today with the 4" LC pads, XMT pad lube and #1 & #3 polish. Some PoBoys sealer and Natty's Blue as well. Full weekend coming up! Question on the pads and the XMT: I've noticed here several folks saying they go straight from #3 to #1 polish. Others that you HAVE TO take...

Need help on pad/paste wax application. Also PC 7336sp vs 7424

Surfer, JSR et al, Does it make any difference to use a different brand or QD than paste or sealer? I have a 3/4 of Mag NXT QD that I could use for pad lube. Also, any thoughts on the 3M foam or machine plishes? (perfect it II and finesse it II) I've used the 3M foam polish and it seemed to be...

Need help on pad/paste wax application. Also PC 7336sp vs 7424

Many Thanks Never expected so many responses with good advice overnight!! Great Forum! JSR and Killer - Excellent advice, huge thanks! Never occurred to me to use 4" pads. I have the big (7.5) pads and love the wide, soft edge for ploishing. But I see how the 4" will be great for getting to...

Need help on pad/paste wax application. Also PC 7336sp vs 7424

Hi everyone. new to this forum. Just discovered AG a couple weeks ago after scoring a great deal on a PC 7336SP for $50. Needed pads etc and found my way to AG. Very glad I did. Seems to be a great community! The PC 7336SP has identical specs to the 7424 except it's packaged as a DA...
