My point was the CanCoat section WAS performing worse. More water flattening out over the surface. Didn’t see that with some of the others included megs. I’ve applied both CanCoat and HPC and HPC is way easier to apply. I can do a car in about half the time. It’s also way slicker.

I HIGHLY suggest looking into Hybrid Paint Coating. Very round beads and they slide off like butter. Nothing like it out there.

Agree with him here. Although not a sealant as it is a coating, it goes on and off super easy and slick and it might be the most hydrophobic product I’ve ever used. I’m 6 months in on my daily and it still looks like day 1. Very impressive.

The biggest mistake you can make is not doing a contact wash. Coatings, sealants and waxes will all die much much faster if you don’t contact wash it. The invisible road film will embed itself into your paint/coating and eventually deteriorate it to the point of no return.

Yep this is definitely true! I saw a video on YouTube where it was said you can apply hybrid paint coating and still wipe off an hour later. Definite trade off since it takes about 7 days to fully cure but it has been great to not deal with high spots.

Interesting you point that out because I did notice that hybrid paint coating does not smell dangerous at all. Some other products nearly knocked me out when I caught a whiff! From what I’ve seen of the product, I see it as one of those small glass vials that has been put into a spray can...

Yes this is why I ask and thought they are related somehow. Someone said the 3M coating was polysiloxane based so I wondered if they are related.

Interesting feedback. Not many coatings are super easy to apply. Hybrid Paint Coating might be the easiest coating I’ve ever applied and I’ve applied a lot of different coatings. It’s super slick. Results have been impressive so far and durability seems good for the few months I’ve been using it.

Been seeing a lot of talk about the new 3M Ceramic Coating. Has anyone used it yet? Any thoughts? I’ve been using Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating I noticed that the 3M Ceramic Coating advertises the same attributes... wonder if they are related?
