Blue Dryer Balls Get A Thumbs Up!!

They did back when I used them. It might have had something to do with the fact the dryer wasn't absolutely, totally full of clothes, but it still concerned me - there's no way that could be good for a 14 year old dryer. But I only stopped using them because I gave them away out of charity

    Back to school! =(

19 here, will be looking for a job this semester. Hopefully I don't get overwhelmed by classes like I did last semester. Last semester was pretty bad, a pretty rude awakening for me as far as academics go. I guess I know a bit better now, but the strange thing is I've been in college for three...

    Back to school! =(

I go back on the 8th :( I don't know what happened the last three weeks. It's like they didn't even happen - I feel like my break just disappeared and I did nothing (which indeed is true). oh man, I was just starting to get into the "break" mentality :(

Got my system put in the camry today! :D

Don't worry man, we had a 92 Camry and the same exact thing happened to the door handles! No kidding. Man those pics bring back memories... she had over 250k on her when we finally sold it a few years ago and still had plenty of life left... what a car!

Hahaha! Read this! Use your buffer for other things!

yes! I'm about to put Aquawax on my shower doors because its soo frustrating to see the sheer amount of water spots and other deposits that build up over just a few weeks (especially with a house full of family!) after you've spent an hour cleaning it with gloves , CLR, etc

Does Autogeek have a printed catalot??

No, they don't... strangely, I can't find it anymore, but I know that somewhere on their site they say that its just too much money considering and that it would get outdated quickly. I understand that and prefer my LCD to paper for shopping anyway :)

Hahaha! Read this! Use your buffer for other things!

You can actually just use metal polish by hand... many people have found great success using this method; namely, they use Brasso.

    smells like?

Although I haven't used many other waxes, I always find NB the most noticeable... as in, the entire garage smells like it for quite a few hours after you're done waxing and everyone knows without even looking at the car :D

Help for Water Spots on Windows

BTW, I hope you don't mind if I share my CLR experience. I tried straight CLR via Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on my dad's '02 Sienna which has many etched waterspots that vinegar and obviously regular car washes couldn't touch. Actually, they were more like water "streaks." Hard to explain, but the...

07 Scion tC "Flint Mica" - rescuing my tC!

Hey all, this is my first submission here. I always imagined I'd submit a better one, but it seems a did a terrible job this time. I'm very disappointed in myself . Also, sorry for my pictures, I didn't get too much time to take them so I was in a rush and don't have much experience with...

    Product for Suede Head Liner?

exactly, all the music you need is already sitting in the car right behind ya :awesome: heh, I also enjoy classic rock and definitely jazz! :D But as to the OP, I have a feeling 303 Fabric Guard won't work on suede... however, if there is something that works on suede, maybe you can use that...

Help for Water Spots on Windows

I think I'll have to agree with this, particularly with CLR (I personally am afraid to use Lime A Way as it is sulfuric acid... I'm not sure what CLR is, as I couldn't figure it out from the feel/smell/color/etc). In my experience, AIO has never done anything for water spots on sealed/waxed...

Random Thoughts - FWD v.s RWD

Here's IMO on this situation * I love Florida :D (heh, didn't mean to rub it in!) * People mash pedals because they've only ever driven automatics and throttle control is lost to most of these people * Common sense is also lost to many people * And yes, RWD can be more challenging, but the...

    Tire dressing question

I find AA tire foam has an "ok" applicator... after a little practice I'm now able to get it almost exactly on the tire. It also makes for cleaner wheel well dressing application. There is a bit of overspray on the wheel, and maybe even occasionally on the paint, but it wipes off so easily with...

    New FJ Cruiser Detailing Help

First, congrats on your new FJ. I really like them, especially the one with the six speed! :) Secondly, it all looks good, but it is essential that you clay the entire vehicle. I purchased my Scion tC before it was even in the country. I picked it up the same morning it was unloaded from the...

Megs Quik Detailer Mist N Wipe

Are you talking about the Quick Detailer (exterior product) Or the Quik Interior Detailer (interior product)? The first comes in a red bottle, the latter in a black bottle. Both are great products for touchups. I use my Quik Interior Detailer for weekly wipedowns. Then about once a month...

Water Spots won't go away. Ideas?

I know its controversial, but you may want to try a little diluted CLR. Disclaimer: I haven't tried this myself but others at... other detailing boards... recommend it CLR is non-acidic as far as I can tell (its no Lime-A-Way), and doesn't have a powerful scent, however it is "slippery," so...

    Interior Product

Plexus is a light polish for plasic components. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for paint! It works well for light polishing of smooth plastic parts on your car (like plastic lenses). If you need something with a bit more polishing action, though, you can try Meg's PlastX or the Wolfgang...
