Thanks for the response. The paint isn't too heavily contaminated, but it is definitely too contaminated for a fine clay if that makes sense. I think a medium clay would tackle all of the contaminants.

It has not. I have also used Meguiars Compound. It looks like a dull area, hard tell if it is oxidation or not.

Should have specified, it is a Subaru. I guess if I apply lube generously my chances of marring go down significantly.

I am using the least aggressive lake country pads and mostly wolfgang products. I do occasionally use swirl x as well.

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping to avoid polishing and simply seal the car after claying. I will give the Iron X paste a shot. Im assuming the Iron X spray is running down the door and not sticking on the spot it needs to remove. Hopefully the past solves this issue. If not I'll try a more...

They are orange rust colored specs. The iron X turns them purple but does not completly remove them. Based on this I assumed it was rail dust.
