Anything to keep my windows from fogging?

This would be exactly what the "defrost" or "defog" setting on your climate control would be. A/C works by drawing moisture out of the air, the same moisture that's accumulating on the inside of your windshield.

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

Yale, thanks for the link. It appears that the pictures are no longer there though. I'm on my iPhone so maybe that's why, but I only see the text. Speaking of which, you said in that review that the 6.5" pads worked well with your GG DA. That's the DA that I plan to get, so can I save the...

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

Buckskincolt - I didn't/don't see pictures of yours, sorry. I definitely value your opinion, so thank you. Now, are the right products for me the Megs DA system, or my original plan.... That's the question that remains. I'll keep waiting for a sale that sways me one way or the other. :)

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

Ok guys. Having a real hard time deciding between the Megs MF and my original plan which was LC HT pads, m105, m205, etc. Here are a few pics of what I'm dealing with. It's pretty rough, unfortunately. I talked to a guy at a local body shop who knows his stuff. He said he could get it swirl free...

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

Thanks for the info so far guys. Much appreciated. Can some others weigh in on 105/205 versus the MF system in terms of swirl removal?

I failed my first time polishing and waxing

Wow, I must be at the end of a 12 hour night shift to have missed that possibility... lol

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

The main reason that I'm shying away from the megs MF kit is because I've heard numerous reports that it doesn't remove harsh swirling as well as 105 with foam. A fellow member suggested the MF kit as well as 105 and 205, but I am trying to keep this as simple (and effective) as possible, and...

I think I've got a plan... Adjustments? Technique?

Ok, here's what I'm going to be working on: 2004 Mazda3 - My practice/warm-up car. Highway commuter. Showing some slight oxidation and generally rough paint conditions. 2006 Caddy CTS-V - My baby that got all swirled up by a local detailer that didn't know what he was doing (which led me...

I failed my first time polishing and waxing

What do you mean when you say that where you live dictates that you have to use a cordless? Do you just mean that dual action polishers arent available on the shelves of your local stores? Order yourself one from auto geek! ;)

    Repainted panels - precautions?

Once AG puts on a sale that I just can't pass up, I'll be doing my first correction jobs on my wife and I's vehicles. The plan is to be using GG's DA with LC hydro tech pads, m105, m205, optimum poliseal, and collinite 845. My question is regarding panels that have been repainted within the...

Towels (MF) - besides AG, any other (Canadian?) supplier suggestions?

There seems to be a lot of negative feedback around here on those Sam's club towels... I'm curious about the amazon/eBay towels though... need to look into their specs...

Towels (MF) - besides AG, any other (Canadian?) supplier suggestions?

I'm hopefully putting my start-up order in tomorrow during the "facebook sale". The last things on my list are drying, buffing, polishing, etc towels and it seems that many around here suggest to look elsewhere for better prices and equal quality. If this is the case, and the Cobra MF towels...

    Best time to buy?

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I'm going for the Griot's DA, as was recommended to me by many forum members. We'll see what this Friday deal is all about and go from there!

    Best time to buy?

THANKS! I'll be sure to start loading up my cart in hopes of this Friday being a "big sale". :) It's not a matter of having the money or not, I'm just a real sucker for a deal. I don't pay regular price for my groceries, let alone car stuff. LOL But spending time with friends & family...

    Best time to buy?

Ooooh, now there's some juicy info! Thanks! I'll add em to FB ASAP. I wonder if that info got mixed up with their labor day sale, or if they're actually going to run 2 promotions at once...

    Best time to buy?

845 is on my list :) what I meant by not doing it til after winter was that I'd just do my regular protection wax before winter and save the swirl correction for spring.. As for "big sales"... Would this 15% off be considered big? Or wait for better? Also, my order will be over the threshold...

    Best time to buy?

Hello again. It's been a while since so many of you offered all that great guidance on how I can get myself started on DIYing my CTS-V. Unfortunately I still haven't put an order in, and thus still haven't done the job yet. Summer's just been too busy (in a good way). Anyway, I just got the...
