HD Speed, what's the most to expect from an All-in-one?

Wowwwwww!!!! Thank you for all the before/afters. This stuff is amazing. I thought about using the Poxy sealer, but then thought doesn't that defeat the purpose of a AIO? Is the shine MUCH more noticeable with the Poxy? Cause the HD Speed shine is pretty darn amazing! Wow, I am even more...

HD Speed, what's the most to expect from an All-in-one?

High, I am a novice in the paint correction world. I do headlights as a mobile business, and wanted to get into paint correction, since I have done it as a hobbiest with my cars. Now that I have a PC 7424 and a Flex PE8 (Small I know, but it is for headlights and detail work only), I need some...

How much can i wet sand ?

To those that have used polish (any compound over 3000 grit equivalent) then sealed with spar, be careful. I tried this originally and then when compounding the same car months later, noticed the sealant I used (SafetyClear, which I think is "spar" by the way it smells) PEELED RIGHT OFF when...

    White powder why???

Great advice guys. I guess I must have been using way too much product, because I know I used much more than 2 pea sized drops. When I have better weather here in a week (and a break from school work again)I'll give that a try. I'm still glad I got the HD, because I don't have any AIO...

    White powder why???

Thanks for the tip on spraying the pad. I never have done that. I am surgical with my pad cleaning, use Wolfgang after every use same day, so that is not it. It is either still too much product, bad priming, or something else not discussed here.

    White powder why???

I just checked out that HD Speed. WOW....That looks very promising. Honestly, I haven't really thought about using AIO products because I didn't think they would last. I will absolutely buy that and try it. ***EDIT*** I just bought it (the 32oz bottle). Can't wait to report back on it...

    White powder why???

Hi coquistador. I tried with two new pads, one adding what I think was a "little" and one pad with "a lot" of product. I didn't see a huge reduction in the powder. Keep in mind, I am a novice, so maybe my "little" is still too much? Maybe my priming technic on the new pads is wrong too...

    White powder why???

Thanks for the responses GSKR Man, I think you are on to something with the "small pad, too much speed=heat" idea. The 5.5 (I said 4" with the PC, but I brain farted, it is the 5.5") pads work amazing with the Menzerna. MUCH longer work time and better results. With the tiny 3" pad, it even...

    White powder why???

I'm mobile too. What do you mean not user friendly being mobile? Thank you. Pads are basically new (used maybe 4-5 times, and always cleaned and dried with pad cleaner). I believe the Flex PE8 says to not use bigger than 3" pads. I bought it to do headlights/detail buff only. That is my...

    White powder why???

What am I doing wrong? I am using Menzerna Super Finish on my black Jetta. When using my Flex PE8, with a 3" LC Orange pad and working a small area, I get a TON of white powder. When using my 7424 PC, and a 4" LC Orange pad, barely any powder (speeds 1 to spread, and speed 5-6 to work). I am...

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

I have found the best way to apply the sealant (I use SafetyClear...but it smells and looks just like the stuff you guys are mixing) is a combination of the Scott blue towel, AND the foam brush. Best of both worlds. Foam brush is the most consistent applicator, but tons or air bubbles. The...

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

"Supposedly this UV sealer is the same as some professional headlight restoration companies are selling, but with a bigger price tag.(have no proof, just was told by others trying this method who have spent big bucks on pro kits.)"- I bought the 4Everclear UV headlight coating before I heard of...

    Need some advice...

GREAT advice Mike. I am buying a Flex PE8 and a PC 7424 off you guys. I am working on the rest of my order for this business, I want to order everything in one day (Including my Generac Inverter, LED work lamps, UV curing lamps, etc...) I think the 7424 and the PE 8 is the best combo for this...

Which buffer would you buy out of these two and why?

Craigdt-I also heard the DA is great on lights from extensively researching here. I am going to get both the DA and rotary as Mike P suggested. The DA to sand, the Flex PE8 to remove any deep scratches with compounds, and the use the DA again but to polish. I am trying to reach nirvana like...

Which buffer would you buy out of these two and why?

Yeah, I'm sticking with a PC7424 and a Flex PE8 for my headlight restoration business. That's probably a good tool for some people, but I do have tactile feel and control, so I would benefit from the more powerful tools. I'll practice some more on my junkyard lights when I get the new tools...

Which buffer would you buy out of these two and why?

Thanks for all your help Mike. I will be buying the PC 7424 and PE8 off your store. I'm still working on the list of the other necessary compounds, polishes, and sand papers. I will be ready to buy in about ten days so this gives me time to find everything else I need too. I like to research...

Which buffer would you buy out of these two and why?

RFrommann. I can flex on the price... The GG6 replaces the HF you suggested, right? Isn't that a little big for JUST headlights? Thank you.
