    How to charge

I think packages are the way to go. Most of us on here understand all the different types of detailing and could handle an a la carte type pricing structure, but probably not so much the layman.

    beginner here

I would start by looking what competition is out in the market already and what prices they charge. That will give you an idea of what the "going" rate is and whether that works for what you are looking for.

    Am i crazy????

Well I suppose as long as you don't drive in the rain it's not as bad. If it rains while it's parked just follow up with a quick detailer when it stops.

    You're go to glaze?

Bobby - I've learned a lot from your posts and always enjoy your insight. I find you to be a very knowledgeable poster. I'm curious though, why you don't have a lot of experience with Glaze? Do you not find it useful? I've never used it, but have considered it.

Does a second coat add much more? Just curious, I've only used one.

    Wheel Sealants

Do the wheel wax products do anything to help the shine of the wheel, or are they all designed to make brake dust easier to clean? The reason I ask is that I'm looking for something to bring out the shine in my clear-coated wheels. Detailer's offers a wheel glaze, but I'm not sure it really...

    My Detailing Packages...suggestions

You don't want the customer to feel like you lured them in with $15 for a wash only to be charged $20, that's a bad place to start building a customer base. I think starting at $20-$25 is fine. Sometimes you will have an easy one, sometimes the car will be in bad shape needing additional care...

OK, how do I get work?

Go to every possible office building, doctor's office, etc. in your area and drop off business cards, coupons, whatever with a front desk person. You could also put flyers on cars (although I hate when people do that). After that hit up local restaurants in the area that allow you to put up...

    Mercedes Benz SLK320 AMG?????

I've got a C class and have been happy but I've only got 900 miles on it. From friends I know that have owned them for years say it's truly a great vehicle. The phrase a lot of people say with MB is that they have thought of everything. Basically meaning it's great quality and functionality...

Do I go for it or not yet?

Keep working hard and do both. Assuming you are under 60 you can handle it. When you are routinely turning away large numbers of clients, then go full time.

Making the Metallic Flake Pop! - Popping versus Muting

Mike, I know you say ANY quality wax will bring out the metallic after proper prep work, but do you have any specific products that work best? Carnuba, Sealant, both? Specific products? I ask because I have practically a brand new car in a metallic medium grey color and I'm looking for...

Hey all you frequent waxers I have a "?"

The carnuba on my car is only about a month old but I would like to wax again to get a nice shine coat. Besides wax seems to last 2-4 months. I'm just a little early. Do I have to strip off the remaining wax that is on the car now? Or can I just wash and rewax? On a related note i applied...
