Yeah saw the Rupes however it's hard for me to order those in my place. I'm based here in Manila and if ever I find any problems with the tool, I'll need to ship it back to the US which costs $$$$
Most of my market here are daily drivers, so we really don't want to get close to 100% swirl...
Thanks for the replies guys, well I do have my Flex 3401 however it overheats, thinking of getting a Rupes as well. Is there an AIO that can be hand applied? Can D151 be applied using only hand application? I don't have much options of AIO in my place so I generally order them from Autogeek...
Hello,
I just started my auto detailing business. One concern i have is my process of my one stepper. My normal procedure is:
1. Car wash and dry the car
2. Clay bar all paints
3. Apply one stepper cleaner and wax
4. Top with final wax
I generally remove some of the scratches but not all. Can...
Well I live in Manila and the professional products are hard to find. Well I havent looked at White Wax will definitely look into it since my local hardware carries it.
Agreed with Don. A full bottle is too much, I have my UC even after doing 3 cars and its almost still half full. Doing section passes should be slow as well. I mention this because I also fell for the wrong technique because I was doing section passes before way too fast and the result did not...
Something to ponder: Flex 3401 has a different backing plate compared to others. So if you have 4" pads, you'd need to get Lake Coutry's backing plate made specifically for Flex. You wont be able to use your other backing plates for Flex. I believe Rupes can be interchanged with other backing...
Looks good! When I clay, I do sections at a time so I always wipe that small section. I do not rewash my car after claying because I dont see the point of rewashing your vehicle, it just adds up to the task and you'll run the risk of having water spots if you dont dry it good enough. Remember...
I just used TW Endura Tire Coat in my tires. I like this coating because you can easily control the shine of your tires. Pics below, and I apoloize for the low quality pics, these were captured on my phone.
First pic is my tires cleaned with a degreaser and the endura tire cleaner. Second pic...
Nice name :))
You're right, compounds are more abrasive. If it helps, here's what I do:
1. Wash, dry & clay (I use Mother's clay bar kit with Mother's QD)
2. Compound (Meguiar's Ultimate Compound)
3. Polish (Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish)
4. Seal (DP Poli coat)
5. Wax (Collinite 845)
For me...
Sorry didnt mentioned there was something special with my setup (i.e. 220v using 120v machine) thanks guys! Havent tried last Sunday but probably will try again this weekend with oiling the felt ring and using a different transformer.
Thanks for the replies, my option really doesnt include in getting a new flex 3401 for 220V, however I got myself a different transformer thats rated for 12 amperes, I'll be trying that one out if it resolves my issue.
