    Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

Bump to keep this thread alive. I'm curious about this stuff too. Grabbed it for under $30 locally and thinking of using it on my wife's daily that sits outside. It's coated with mckee's coating but probably needs a refresh after 2 years. Looking for a low effort coating/sealant this time...

Whats your favorite / go to interior detailer?

I think it’s perfect for a car that stays pretty clean. Leaves a matte finish, some protection and comes off screens/mirrors/glass easily. Spray and wipe with microfiber; Quik interior detailer is a perfect name. It doesn’t have the strongest cleaning power but I don’t think it’s meant to be. I...

Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

Definitely preferable to clean with something that doesn’t leave anything behind if you’re prepping the paint. But I’m pretty sure any prep spray will strip it off easily. The protection is pretty “light”. Btw, pink Uber rinseless leaves gloss enhancers behind iirc. Sent from my iPhone using...

    DI for rinse or not

Nice. With such a low TDS you have a lot of options. Did you see their (aquatic life) spot free DI setup? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Tire brush recommendation

I need to get some carpet brush attachments for my drill. It’d definitely speed up cleaning carpets and upholstery. Not sure if it would be any faster for my tires but I’d give it a try. Anyone suggestions for a smaller attachment for low profile tires that are close to the fender? Sent from...

    DI for rinse or not

I built my wall mounted DI system (2x 10x4.5” filters) for under $200 including 5lbs of resin. At 28 ppm the resin would last really really long if you’re only using it for a final rinse. But have you tested if the water leaves water spots? I change the resin around 20 but even then I didn’t...

    CarPro Eraser Residue!?

If the marring couldn’t be induced with the towel then it shouldn’t be the wipe causing it? So does that mean the essence was just filling/covering defects that weren’t removed during the correction? My ipa comment was that OP questioning if the eraser was leaving something behind.

Have you tried just an ipa wipe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Wash mitt you like...

Same. Couldn’t go back to noodle mitts. Not that they are bad, but the MF ones are easier to handle and glide better. I usually use 6 cyclones per car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    opinions/suggestions wanted, can't decide

Another option could be a coating lite like Cancoat. Quicker application than a full coating but probably will last a year+ on a low mileage garaged car. Reapply yearly. Agree with this. Doesn’t sound like a car that will have a ton of buildup/contamination, especially when maintained...

    CarPro Eraser Residue!?

So you were able to wipe the lines away? If so, reapplying eraser should show residue if it was actually that? I’ve only used 16oz of eraser but never had residue, even on gloss black paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

Do you use this on a coating? I still have 2 bottles of seal and shine. I use it on friends/family cars as some quick protection but not on any of mine. Haven’t tried any in the hybrid solutions line though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

Original Uber rinseless seems to be a bit smeary as a detail spray/drying aid on my coating. The stuff is really lubricating and slick though and I mainly used it for touch ups and bird bombs. Will have to pick up this sio2 version to play with. It'd be nice to find an economical drying aid for...

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

I just got new wheels/tires and plan on using this coating. In the videos from Apex detailing and Pan the organizer (featuring Yvan Lacroix) they both applied in sections and worked it in right away and mentioned if there is a blue/purple tint than there is too much product. I noticed in some...
