2002 Black C5 Corvette Coated with Optimum Gloss Coat

Nice write-up. Great job on the vette! I have a 2002 myself, the clearcoat is tough! Black is such a tough color, it was in rough shape, again Great job making it sparkle again.

2013 Subaru Outback finally got it done.....

Hoyt66 The clear coat is not hard, I read up about this prior to polishing. I was not aggressive in how I polished. Basically let the Flex do the work, I didn't apply any pressure. Thanks

2013 Subaru Outback finally got it done.....

Well this is my first upload to the forum, only been a member since 2009 ..... Lazy I know :dunno: anyway, had this 2013 Outback since Dec 31 2013 brand new. Only ever had car and wand washes, the odd wash at home. I was in a job that had me traveling 80% of the time, so when home auto detailing...

You just can't beat the Flex 3401...

Had my Flex for three or so years, never used it. Had a change in jobs recently and with the extra time I got to try the Flex 3401 in the last couple of days. What a beast, it makes very quick work out of heavy polishing, and final polishing/ buffing is a breeze! What a huge difference to the...

Anyone use MF detergent and an HE washer to wash their towels?

Have used MF detergent with and without vinegar, works like a charm in my HE washer. I dry the MF's in the dryer low heat, no dryer sheets.

    Beginners help.

You have the right equipment and good products. I agree with BobbyG, spend some time looking at Mike's video's on the forum, these are excellent and cover all aspects you will need. Also you can post pictures of your car, many folks here on the can provide you additional answers.

    NANOSKIN Autoscrub

I found it to be excellent and very fast compared to a clay bar. You MUST have it well lubricated. I didn't have any micro maring that I could easily see. I like it

What soap do you use in your foam cannons?

I dont have a foam cannon, only a foam gun. Definately not as many suds or foam, that said I am using "Detailer's Xtreme Foam Formula Auto Shampoo" got it when I purchased the foam gun. Creates good suds and foam. With a foam cannon am sure you will be pleased!

Just how necessary is using a wax or sealant.........

My garage queen, is always sealed, always. I find washing, polishing and waxing to be theraputic :) I am very impressed with Duragloss sealers and Aquawax, Menzerna Power Lock and C-Magic. So many great products out there from inexpensive to extremely expensive. Autogeek has so many to offer.
