What would be your main reason for wanting to go to SEMA?

Cars, ladies and Vegas. I was too busy to make the trip this year, my boss and some others from our corporate office went. I'll have to take about $1500 in singles when I go... :D

    Black Expedition at dusk SIP/ 106 / 360

Nothing exotic, Armor-All original formula I've heard good and bad about what it does to rubber in the sun, but I prefer the look it produces.

    Black Expedition at dusk SIP/ 106 / 360

Thanks, it wasn't in too bad of shape. I had already used the UDM with the XMT Intermediate system on it several weeks ago. The SIP really made short work of the daily driven swirls and light scratches and the 106 brought it home. When I bought the truck it was in desperate need of TLC...

    Big thanks to DantheMan!

I agree completely  Considering I just happened across AG, I'd say it was pretty long odds that Dan lives only a few blocks from the garage I use to detail my vehicles. BTW, I just placed an order for SIP, 106 and a whole mess of 5.5 inch pads that he and I are splitting. :righton:

    Any Bowlers here?

It wouldn't hurt to experiment with one. It might help hold your wrist in the proper position. I tried them early on, but never used one afterwards.

    Tornado last night!

Me too... Pretty wild night. We live south of town and weren't affected, but my buddies house got the roof taken off so we were up most of the night emptying out the upstairs and salvaging what we could.

    Any Bowlers here?

Mike, a dry lane will make the ball hook more and sooner. The lanes are normally oiled in a crown type pattern ie: more oil in the center of the lane and less oil on the edges. If you keep the ball "inside" it will skid longer before it reacts and hooks. If you lay it down or project it to...

    Any Bowlers here?

With a resin ball, making it hook should be relatively easy. Try releasing the ball like you were going to slide a piece of luggage down the lane, or like you were bringing your hand up to shake someones hand. Once you get used to the release you can work on "lifting" the ball to make it hook...

    Any Bowlers here?

If the ball has a matte finish, a scotch brite pad works well. If it has a glossy surface I'd use alcohol and a microfiber towel or a polish available in the pro shop. If the lanes are dry and the ball is hooking too much you can run it a cycle in an automatic polisher to get the ball further...

    Testing XMT 360

If your paints been neglected, the XMT intermediate won't be enough to correct it. (I was using an orange pad.) This van had been subjected to bristle auto car washes by the original owner. My Expedition was worse. I used a 3m medium cut and wool pad on my rotary to get the Expy presentable...

    Testing XMT 360

I originally got the 360 to use on my wifes Silver '05 Sport Trac because her paint is in good shape. My father recently bought a low mile 2004 custom van. The paint is in fair condition, but has no doubt seen it's share of automatic car washes. So, I thought his hood would be a good test...
