Thanks for the advice. I went with just the 845 but I did point out the swirls, a few bug and bird etchings, and water spots but he was ok with just 845 for now so I did what you guys suggest and do what the customer wants.
Oh, that's too bad. I like them but may not buy anymore if it's common.
BTW, how the heck do you get Collinite 845 out of the pads. I cleaned and cleaned with APC and it's still has that greasy feel.
This is my first luxury vehicle detail, my 4th overall.
Did it for my boss at my day job. Just a clay, wax, wax wheels, dress tires and trim, seat & dash wipe with protectant.
Used Collinite 845
My question on taping is do you generally tape the trim so that a tiny but of tape is on the paint to keep the creases clean? Or do you keep the tape only on the trim?
I've had two crimson LC HT pads to lose the backing.
I'm wondering if it's the APC I've used to clean them. Does anyone think that APC will cause the backing to fail?
I'll be doing a Mercedes that my day job boss owns tomorrow. He just basically wants a wax. There are some fine swirls but being the color it is they are hard to see unless you look with a Autogeekers eye.
I was wondering if doing it with a MF pad and some D301 would do some correcting and lay...
Yeah, I'm referring to the Gel. I'm trying products to dress and protect the dip from that dried out look. Makes the wheels look clear coated and does not hurt the dip if it's water-based.
I have Meg's APC. Couple of cap full of concentrate?
I'm out of MF wash so I need to use something and if I can use APC instead of buying MF wash if like to save the $
I've seen some comment they use APC to wash MF towels.
Do you use it machine washing?
If so, how much APC do you use per load? Is that concentrate or diluted?
