    Wax Toppers over ceramic coating

Yes, sorry brain fart, Reload would be good too.

    Wax Toppers over ceramic coating

Neither. Use a ceramic maintenance spray, like Dr. Beasley's AdvanceCoat Gloss, Gyeon Q2M Ceramic Detailer or similar. Putting wax on top of a coating will have it take the properties of the wax until the wax is gone, losing the self cleaning aspect, reducing the contact angle of the water beading.

    Peoples advice greatly appreciated.

Worrying about the competition's packages and prices will drive you crazy and possibly out of business, as Mike says Keep It Simple Simon. I understand where you are coming from, we're in a fairly rural farm community here, a little larger at 12,000 though. Before we converted our used car...

    Chevy 2500HD Leather Seats

Can also confirm they all do that, however we replaced a few wrinkled ones under warranty. So if you are still under 36k, I'd go in for a replacement. Just make sure they check the side panels of the new replacements, at some point GM went from leather side vertical panels on the seat bottom to...

    cleaner for undercarriage

After looking at a lot of these products, especially of those on Amazon, the car enthusiast in me spotted that many of them appeared to be using fuel rail stock and that made perfect sense. So I ordered a stick of fuel rail stock, some nozzles appropriately sized for my Kranzle and we will see...

    Dr. Colorchip on Chevy Cruze

Used their system to touch up a 040U Black W211 E-Class that had rock chips on the hood, including one particular one that was fairly deep. Color match was spot on and once done, blended in perfectly with the 14 year old paint to where I could not tell where I had touched it up before.

Dash mat for Toyota Mark X 2007 anywhere make them?

Given the very limited market the Mark X was made for, probably won't find anything, at least on any English websites. My recommendation would be to flock it. Google dash flocking kit.

    Strange discoloration/stains on leather seats

Stains can sometimes damage the leather, I'd try something a little stronger, Colourlock Mild Leather cleaner on that same bristle brush, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Only when the stain disappears, condition or seal it. If it doesn't, then it may be damaged and in need of some leather dye.

Simplify and add light: Shop lighting question

Our 2 bay facility currently has three rows of fluorescent vapor tight drop lighting, each row has two 8-foot 4-bulb lighting fixtures. The outer rows are dead center of each bay and the middle row sits between the two bay doors, fixtures are roughly about 16 feet off the floor. Some of the...

    BEST PADS

On our BEAST we came to settle on the Lake Country Force Hybrid pads, liked them better than the CCS pads, they are designed for the forced rotation of the BEAST and have a nice centering hole for quick pad swaps. Especially love the Red pad, nothing soaks into the pad, so no wasted wax or sealant.

    How to remove Pin stripes

Exercise a little caution with the stripe off wheels. Still not sure what was the exact culprit, but one of my guys attempted to remove some silver pin stripping off a Glory Red Tint Coat 2018 Silverado, heat of the day, full sun, truck had been outside all morning. So not sure if it was the...

It's been awhile - need advice

When you say 'fine scratches' are we actually talking scratches or swirls and love marks from a history of improper washing? Of course do a test spot first, but my first step would be a Lake Country Force Hybrid white pad on the Flex 3401 with 3D One or if you are a Rupes owner, Rupes white pad...

what do you guys use on frames?

I use Gtechniq W5 Citrus APC, let it dwell and then blast it with the steam cleaner. Since I'm usually spraying the wheel liners with it, I'll use Sonax Plastic Care on some of the visible components as well.

    Karcher 1700 versus Kranzle K1122TST

After spending more time repairing gas pressure washers than actually detailing cars, I decided to look at electric when the last Honda powered one we had destroyed it's crankshaft keyway. Went with the Kranzle K1122TST, Mosmatic gun and all QDs and swivels, that's been almost a year ago now and...

I put IGL EcoCoat Wheel on my wheels when I had them refinished on my daily driver 957 Cayenne GTS, has handled road trips, mountain pass aggressive and routine driving since May without fail. Quick easy rinse for the heavy pig which throws brake dust like an 20 year old throws soot in their...

    303 Graphene

^ Same sentiment here. I reached out to a certain name brand graphene coating to become an authorized installer for them, they called, we talked, said they would send me info and a free sample to try out on a panel. That was the last time I heard from them, nothing ever came and I took that as a...

    Truck hood is faded

We're a family-owned dealership group that started with Chevrolet on July 15, 1923 in Pageland, SC, expanding to 6 locations today still in SC. We've always had a detail shop for reconditioning used cars and detailing new car deliveries, but with the average consumer becoming more aware of paint...

    Truck hood is faded

This was before the new D-A system, so that would be the old Rupes Keramik Fine "yellow top" compound and Rupes yellow pad. Searching through my phone for the photos but it appears I may have deleted them at some point.

    Truck hood is faded

^ Similar story to Mike's, dealer bought a black Trailblazer to stock in the Buy Here Pay Here program, every inch of paint completely baked like the Ford above. Dealer was expecting to take it to Maaco for a respray, did a test spot with a Rupes Yellow on a LHR21 Mk3 to reveal actual clearcoat...
