I lived in Kittery aka "North Portsmouth" for a little over 3 years. It definitely doesn't rain as much as everyone says/acts. We've had a few days where it has come down pretty heavy but on average "rain" here is more of a mist/drizzle. None of the 2"/hr downpours we'd get back east.
