Black McLaren MP4-12c by High End Detail

Btw, I am also a huge fan of HD Speed and HD Poxy! I love that combo! I keep Manny fairly busy down there at the 826 store

    1967 ZR1 powered GTO

This is a 1967 GTO belonging to Miami Dolphin great Jason Taylor. This car had some pretty bad swirls from only being "washed" with detail spray. We used a 7424XP, WGs Total Swirl Remover on an orange pad, and finished with WG's Finishing Glaze. Then we applied a coat of WGs 3.0 Deep Gloss...

Just need some input on my pricing/packages

I think your pricing is very low. But I live in South Florida, which is a ridiculously expensive market. I also think if you are taking 1-3 hours to do a basic exterior wash only, you need to work on your technique. My personal car, which gets absolutely pampered, takes me 30 minutes max to...

    Mobile floor mats

Put your tailgate down if you have one and rest them on there, otherwise, lay them down on the grass. They're not heavy enough to flatten the grass into the dirt. And you wantt hat sun to dry them out. May need a quick vacuum to lift up any thing that may have landed on them but they come out...

HHR Panel for Mobile Detailing unit?

Wish I would have seen this two months ago. I sell mobile detailing trailers in South Florida (across the country but based out of South Florida) and would have helped you out! Great work though! looks like you're doing well! Now stay out of Fort Lauderdale! LOL

    How do you advertise?

Two words: Social. Medial. Several words: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Angie's List.... Word of Mouth is good but do NOT rely on it. You will be homeless unless you're already VERY well established. And Yelp is fine, but stay away from their paid advertising. I got suckered into...

    Help Advertising

Facebook is hands down one of the best marketing tools out there. Picking the age/sex/location and interests of your clients....its awesome. That being said, there has been allegations that Facebook "fakes" likes during promotions. I have had GREAT success with promoted posts so no qualms...

    Older vehicle for mobile

I too believe that your tow rig matters UNTIL you get an established customer base and/or reputation. At that point, it no longer matters. I have an eclectic variety between my two tow rigs: a 2006 Mazda B3000 (Ranger) with a softball sized dent in the front right quarter (and a metal gouging)...

Buying a Water Tank, do I need a water pump along with my gas Pressure Waher?

Sorry but this is absolutely untrue. I and a mobile detailer and we also build pressure cleaning and mobile detailing trailers. I have 2 units on the road, and have been for over 2 years on the current set ups. I have sold over 20 units in the last year and I haven't had a single issue with...

Been mobile, looking to go fixed....

Ive been throwing around the idea of starting a fixed location in addition to my 2 mobile units. The guy who runs my other truck has been with me 2 years and does awesome work, and I have another guy that can run my 2nd truck. So I've been thinking about trying to find a fixed location. Maybe...

    Marketing

Looks great, but don't lead with this. Too much reading for a "cold market" sale. This would be great for someone who is already interested or who comes to you and asks for more information.

Talk to me about mobile detailing!

I am mobile myself. Have been for about 8-10 years broken up around my military service. I can say that being mobile is awesome, but very challenging. We don't work in a somewhat sterile environment so you have to know what you're doing to achieve stellar results! You'll learn how to avoid...

    427 Shelby Cobra

Its a factory car. As for the decals and the rivets and other little studs all over the car: I taped off the decals that weren't cleared over (many of them were). For the rivets and the convertible top spikes, I used a 4" pad on my DA to work as close as I could to them and lightly did the...

I love them HD products!! I'm partial to HD Speed for some of my regular wash and wax customers as it allows me to safely remove any dry water spots I may have missed after the wash. HD polish and their HD Poxy is a favorite of mine too.

    427 Shelby Cobra

Yes, but that wasn't even the worst of it. Some were too much for my DA and I had to go to my rotary. The only reason he uses a waterless is because it is permanently a convertible lol

    2 Basic Maintenance Wash Questions

If you keep it waxed/sealed regularly, I would try drying with an electric leaf blower. We use one on every car was wash and/or detail. It cuts out a ton of contact with the paint. Drying is where a majority of swirls usually come. And a HUGE +1 on the pressure washer and foam cannon! It is...
