Correcting 21 year old Mercedes paint

You may need a heavier clay because I'm sure that paint has never been clayed in 21 years, that being said, you may do a little bit of marring with a heavier clay. However, This will save your pads when you start on correction so they're not so contaminated, allowing for better correction. Do...

    Backing plates/pads for my GG6

I use the GG6. I would definitely look into a 5'' backing plate and the Lake Country Hydrotech 5'' set. I gotta give credit to Smack for turning me onto that combo. You've picked a great machine and the 5'' set-up offers more of a focused correction which pays off in ease of use and time! :props:

Those of you with bad backs, do you have a preferred DA?

A better machine may not be able to save you from back pain, it might just be the angles of your spine and muscles aiding in disaster. Try and focus on how your body is positioned while you'e polishing. My wife is a massage therapist, and always gives me the same advice: "always stack the...

    Pad help

I'm not sure about an exact amount of time I can give you, as it all depends on: how often they are used how they are cleaned how often they are cleaned I recommend investing in a pad washer. I just picked one up for myself after being introduced to one by Smack, they're great in the garage...
