I was reading an article that said the LC pad washer doesn't fit the Flex properly due to the larger gear head. Very disappointed and unsure what pad washer to get because I'm planning to get the new Flex XCE when it comes out.

That might need a good wet sanding..

Hey Mike, this was actually one of the first articles I read on here. What colors do you find this works best with? Does Menzerna make a one step compound polish you find work well with the flex 3401 and LC pads?

Cars look awesome! What products did you use on the outside of that 458? And that S550 is from NJ?

Try an all purpose cleaner and a toothbrush.

I get the same results on the lighter colors but you can definitely see the marring on the black, navy, etc.

The local Benz dealer put out cars like this. They use an Ardex sealant that makes the dark cars look amazing but it comes off after a few washed and looks similar to what is in the picture of that article.

Found out my manager at work had the fg400 and sf4000 sitting in his toolbox so I will get to try them out on my 94 civic beater as soon at the mechanics are done with it. Ordering some LC hybrid pads tonight!

I could be wrong but I believe I read on here that the rupes pads work very well on the rupes. "It's a proven system" I believe is what it says.

A year and a half later, is the terry cloth still the best method for cleaning the flex on the fly?

Why is better cooling such a big deal? I use a flex 3401 at work and the heat doesn't bother me, does it have an effect on the finished product?
