    Pad Washer Question

I was reading an article that said the LC pad washer doesn't fit the Flex properly due to the larger gear head. Very disappointed and unsure what pad washer to get because I'm planning to get the new Flex XCE when it comes out.

A moment of silence or will this buff out?

That might need a good wet sanding..

    Compound/Polish advice

Hey Mike, this was actually one of the first articles I read on here. What colors do you find this works best with? Does Menzerna make a one step compound polish you find work well with the flex 3401 and LC pads?

Cars look awesome! What products did you use on the outside of that 458? And that S550 is from NJ?

    M105 Occurance

I get the same results on the lighter colors but you can definitely see the marring on the black, navy, etc.

    Compound/Polish advice

The local Benz dealer put out cars like this. They use an Ardex sealant that makes the dark cars look amazing but it comes off after a few washed and looks similar to what is in the picture of that article.

    Compound/Polish advice

Found out my manager at work had the fg400 and sf4000 sitting in his toolbox so I will get to try them out on my 94 civic beater as soon at the mechanics are done with it. Ordering some LC hybrid pads tonight!

    Got my first Rupes!

I could be wrong but I believe I read on here that the rupes pads work very well on the rupes. "It's a proven system" I believe is what it says.

    Paint Inspection Lights

I've been contemplating a light set up, both handheld and a stand. I saw a stand someone built here and want to give that a try. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/80867-diy-led-work-light-much-better-than-halogen.html As for handheld I'm going with this streamlight. It's...

    Compound/Polish advice

We actually all use the same setup. It's just what the owner buys because it works best for us. If we use a rotary on a car we always flex behind it. But yes this is why I want to venture out on my own. I'm going to wait for the new flex to be released since I currently do not own one. As for...

    Compound/Polish advice

I'm in NJ and use the 105 all year round. I do notice being a PITA during the summer months but have learned to work with it. I have tried it in the sun light and it's useless. I was looking at the blackfire black wax and really want to try that out on some cars so maybe I'll grab some of their...

    Compound/Polish advice

So I'm looking to start my own mobile detailing business this coming spring. I plan on using a flex with the factory baseplate until I am used to the new chemicals. My question is, what compounds and polishes work well with the flex 4301 and what pads should I look into for the factory 6 in...

How to clean your foam pad on the fly

A year and a half later, is the terry cloth still the best method for cleaning the flex on the fly?

    Flex XCE 9-8 150

Why is better cooling such a big deal? I use a flex 3401 at work and the heat doesn't bother me, does it have an effect on the finished product?

    New to the forum

Was planning on it as soon as I can answer a few myself. I have been doing a decent amount of reading on here regarding other buffers, compounds, waxes, and stuff I haven't used. When I can narrow things down a bit more I will post plenty of questions, lol. Thank you! Thank you!

    New to the forum

What's up guys, I'm new here but have been detailing for just shy of ten years. I'm looking to start my own mobile detailing business in a few months (when the winter ends). I work at a shop in NJ and I would say we are pretty good but not up to my standard anymore. I have considering this my...
