Bumping this old thread to say that TW Rinse-Free Wash is on clearance at Advance Auto Parts for $4.99. That tells me Average Joe ain't hoping on the rinseless wagon just yet. I may go get me some!

It seems D151 isn't simply a spray wax. AG states that it .."is aggressive enough to remove severe defects" (!)

Have you tried Collinite 915? It's durable and always looks great. Sticking with wax, PB Natty's Blue is popular on dark paint and just blew away Meg's and Mothers waxes on my dark blue Jettta, and cost just a bit more. The 915 may be more durable.

Can you explain this Allen? Don't you want the surface free of oils and product in general before wax?

The mixture cleans up polishing oils left so that inspection can be done. It (P21 Paintwork Cleanser) does this full strength as well. The product is supposed to get your paint ready for wax, right. Everything sure " looks" clean to me. Perhaps surgically clean was not a good term. The point was...

I didn't have enough P21 Paintwork Cleanser left for my last project... so... P21 Paintwork Cleanser / Distilled Water / IPA (50/45/5). Works fantastic at removing polishing oils and leaving things surgically clean.
