I wound up with a bottle of Mirror Glaze 3 some how

You guys are killing me. I have personally thanked both of you on various threads, so I'm playing nice. What's so scary about my posts? Who is Aztek 19whatever. And whomever he is, if he has a Pontiac Aztec, Ralphy from the Simpsons says "ahh haa!" I can show you a link about my home-made...

I wound up with a bottle of Mirror Glaze 3 some how

Someone gave me this bottle and I accepted it graciously thinking to myself "Glaze? That's for cheaters" but maybe this stuff will change my mind. Thanks Bill for the comment about Collinite. I do loves me some Collinite so I'm glad they get along.

My implication is that M3 may not contain the newer DAT or SMAT or chemical polish technology we enjoy today. Just a low grit sand. ? I don't know, but since you say it's an excellent finishing polish, I'll save my $10 and trip to the store and give it a try!

    Rinseless Wash and paint protection?

Bob, +1, same boat here! except it was PBW Spray & Wipe that converted me. It still took me a long time to start using less product. At first I wanted to saturate the panels and let the dirt flow down. No! You just spray enough to suspend the dirt where it is - no drooling down the side if you...

Sonax Full Effect vs Meguiars Non-Acid Tire/Wheel Cleaner

Fun with ionic liquids. Ammonia, sulfur, acetate. Yummy. I never said it didn't clean wheels. IronX does too. Your pics would make a great review

I wound up with a bottle of Mirror Glaze 3 some how

There's a post where Mike said that M3 is from the 30's or 40's then he showed an ancient looking bottle of it. I'm using the term ancient gregariously but you get the point. I will be using 845 then after cure, 915. I don't want polishing oils on the finish before LSP. I was thinking if m3 is...

    Plan of action, seem ok?

Copper, Today, I'm using Poor Boy's SSR2.5. It had a learning curve for sure (for me being new to the DA), and did NOT work by hand for me. It's working well with the DA. I have found, ON MY PAINT, that I need to follow the SSR2.5 with another medium polish to achieve best results. If you're...

Sonax Full Effect vs Meguiars Non-Acid Tire/Wheel Cleaner

To your point, allenk4, if the Sonax cleans a really jacked up wheel better than Brand X, then I take back my "gimmick" remark. The 16 wheels that I regularly clean get sparkling with $2.99 Eagle 1, or just car soap.

and I'm out of finishing polish. Can I use this #3 as a final polish? Can I expect similar results as UP? I would be doing a "cleanse" prior to LSP so maybe, so maybe that defeats the purpose of a glaze. I'm not interested in filling-in, just the polishing aspects. I know the #3 is ancient...

    Tracers taunt me

Thanks allenk4, your posts are always great. I may start using my leaf blower. I'm like that FireStarter girl in the movie, except I cause scratches to appear, and I'm a boy.

Sonax Full Effect vs Meguiars Non-Acid Tire/Wheel Cleaner

Sonax Full Effect is an over-hyped, fowl-smelling gimmick. If it didn't turn colors, would it be as popular?

meguiars ultimate wax vs gold class

+1. And to think Collinite 845, for $8 more, lasts MONTHS. And what are those gritty things in GC? Maybe them's them polymers. But seriously, feel of it sometime.

    2 bucket...1 bucket too many

This stuff is amazing to me. When I was a kid, my dad washed his car with Tide Powder and any rag he could find in the kitchen, and never dried the car. Seems like back then, in my middle-class North Carolina neighborhood, no one dried their car. The absence of dirt and mud was the only criteria...

    Tracers taunt me

Looks like maybe "Tracers" was not the right term. The vehicles have ranged from dark blue, black, and dark red. I don't notice it on light blue and silver. Acura, Nissan, Porsche, VW, and all 4 Japanese motorcycle brands. I do know that the Kawasaki paint is very soft. The day I bought...

    Tracers taunt me

I hope I'm using the term correctly, tracers, being the fine lines and scratches that can follow a towel wipe on a clean panel. This phenomenon is driving me mad. This is supposed to BE my therapy, not the reason I NEED therapy! (sound familiar?) This is occurring mostly as I do a panel wipe...

    Question about PBW SSR2.5

The SSR2.5 is working fine with the DA :props: It breaks down readily at speed 5. A bit messy, but I guess that's a DAT polish for you. I don't think it can be broken down by hand, but I'm no arm wrestler either.

A few questions before I turn on my GG6

I got a 5" backing plate and some 5.5" pads and they work great! Being careful, I can even use my 4" pads on the 5" plate for RID removal work. So far the machine is brilliant. Could not have done it without the help!!

    Chemical Guys in Houston

AG certainly does have a reseller program. As a matter o fact, I contacted a manufacturer to purchase bulk lots for resell as part of my eBay store, and they told me to use the AG reseller program because AG can ship the product to me cheaper than they could!

Oh I would HOPE that the expensive CG stuff would WAY outperform the Kit wax. In other words, FAITH. The only reason a $1000 wax exists is our faith. Even to a MUCH lesser degree, I recently bought some wax for $35. This is 3x the cost of a good wax from Megs. I had faith it would work better...
