Prefer not to return it because I can't justify the money buying a higher quality one right now.

I bought a cheap, Chinese made, 3" dual action polisher off of Amazon. So far it seems pretty solid. The only thing I'm not very confident is the backing plate. It seems it takes a 1/4" (m6) shaft. The only replacements I can find for that shaft size are some more cheap looking no named brands...
