    Pinnacle Souveran vs. P21S

I like what killr said in another string somewhere: "I sleep better knowing Souveran is in my garage" or something like that. I couldn't agree more. As for the price, just think about the investment you have in your car. Is $70 really that much in relation to the thousands you spent on the car...

My 1st detail with PC and "pro" products & your advice!

IMO, this is the Souveran of tire gels. It looks rich, lush, and luxuriant. It has just the right shine, a nice warm glow without being in-your-face shiny. It goes on relatively easy with a foam applicator. It has a durability that I haven't seen in any other product - stands up rain, puddles...

My 1st detail with PC and "pro" products & your advice!

Blazer looks awsome! Tires look good too. About the tire shine though (and I ask this out of true interest). Really wet, shiny tires always seem to go over well and attract a lot of attention at shows. My preference though is a nice gllow but less shine. I liken the shine of these products to a...

    Exterior plastic panels?

My wife drives a 2004 Expedition. It has those wide plastic side trim panels. I've found Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel to work great. Looks fabulous, lasts a long time even after rain and washes. But like Neo says, make sure you buff well. Just apply and wait about 30 minutes before buffing.

    Convertible top care

Unike paint care, there aren't many choices for cleaning and protecting convertible tops. Any opinions on 303 Fabric Guard vs. Raggtopp for fabric tops? I love 303 protectant but don't want to just assume therefore that Fabric Guard is as good. I've also read somewhere on this forum that...

    Scratch Dr.

Choice: fix the symptom or treat the problem. If you went to your doctor, what would you ask him/her to do? I take care of my car better than I take of me. If I would make the best choice for myself, of course I would do likewise for my mistress (oops, car that is).

    Chewing Gum Removal

I can't say I've tried this on paint, but this is how we (former) Canadians get gum out: frreze it with ice. Hold an ice cube on it until the gum gets really hard. It then looses its stick and comes right off. You can take gum off cloths, carpets, furniture, hair, etc using this technique. Ice...

So who watched the "Lost" season finale????

Maybe it was the beer I was pouring down my own throat.

So who watched the "Lost" season finale????

Not just a chick show. I was so psyched after Idol last night that I was in my garage at 1:30am putting a coat of Souveran on my Cobra! After all, I needed a way to relax and burn off some NRG. (Besides, I know plenty of guys who watch JUST TO WATCH).

I feel like trying something new...

Good point. Very true. Gotta get out and wax/seal. BUT . . . most products (discussed here anyway) are so easy to use anyway, why bother with a QD? KSG maybe, but Souveran, WG, etc? Even then (KSG) WOWO seems like it would be at least as easy as using a QD and would probably spare the durability.

I feel like trying something new...

If a sealant needs to cure sans moisture, why would a QD NOT interfere?

You know you're an AutoGeek when.....

Now I'm really scared. I NEED HELP!!! I drove to FL from NC recently with a bottle of Pinnacle Crystal Mist and a cloth at my feet. EVERY stop meant cleaning the bugs off the front and mirrors. I didn't even think this might be abnormal. Now I'm thinking about what else I do on the list. Oy, my...

    Photos of "My Adventure"

Detailing in a speedo ?!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH Do you realize how easy it would be to get sunscreen on that new finish?!!! Great Pic's DS. Jeans + sweatshirt = no sharp objects to scratch paint.

    Leatherique

Speaking professionally, of course, I have to agree. But what does that say about the rest of us? Do you know of any treatment programs for pathological detailers? What would the 12 steps be? 1. We admit that we are powerless over detailing - that the appearance of our cars takes precedence...

    Leatherique

Thanks for the kudos, FloridaNative! Not many true natives anymore. I lived in Orlando for 6 years and I don't think I met one native. Everyone was from somewhere else and was almost always en route to who knows where. I'm in North Carolina now and if there's one thing I miss, it's the Florida...

    Leatherique

Weighing in again. I'm feeling guilty. Got to go Pinnacle first! My brand loyalty and loyalty to PBMA is getting the best of me. So, here's my 2 cents: try Pinnacle leather cleaner and conditioner - great products, great scent. Then, if these don't give you 100% of the results you're looking...

    Leatherique

Got carried away there. BTW, they say (whoever they may be) that Leatherique is recommended for older leather. My experience was with new(er) leather. You can use it for old and new; my guess is that it will work WONDERS for older leather. I plan to use it regularly to keep my new leather...

    Leatherique

I always used Pinnacle leather cleaner and conditioner. It was great, but there was no question that my leather seats were looking used - the usual creases, loss of grain, etc. Nothing bad but I wanted something to make them brand new, not just good. I looked on the internet and found...

Maybe we need to waive some Canadian flags too for the "Happy 5th of May" celebration.

    Trip To Mexico

As a LEGAL immigrant/naturalized US citizen from Canada, currently working for the US Army because I couldn’t be commissioned into the US Navy, I see nothing un-PC about the above sentiment. I can’t begin to express my frustration with the current immigration situation. I think the censures...
