Heres what I do for plastic cladding(Avalanche, CRV, Xterra, etc.): Spray APC full strength or 1:1 and let dwell. Spray again and srcub REALLY WELL with a stiff bristle brush with bristles small enough to get into the "grains" of the grained plastic. Rinse, dry and repeat if nessesary...

Borax?!::eek: Make absolutley sure that the borax grains are absolutley dissoved before you pull them towels out of the washer. Or..... am I thinking of Boraxo(hand cleaning powder)?

Isn't the washer there just to provide clearance for the included wrench when removing/installing backplates? I think it says so somewhere in the manual.

What do you use to liven-up the looks? Seems some are made of textured plastic and thats no problem, but the ones I have trouble with are the metal racks with black(or other color)textured paint. I used some 303 on the metal racks on my MPV and it turned out OK and still dark after a month...
