Are these the signs a of proper coating?

Lower temperatures may not allow for proper bonding of certain coatings. I believe that CQuartz Finest is one of them.

    Hydro2 vs Traditional AIO

Hydro2 is a wash/seal. The problem with Hydro is that it doesn't fill enough for most cars, and the level of slickness is not at the level that most discerning customers expect.

"Wash and wax" ....to machine wax or aerosol?

Polymer Net Shield doesn't fill enough for a wash/wax special. Plus it takes a while to apply and you do not want to give away too much protection at this price point. I would look at Meguiars 365, Optimum Car Wax or Hydro. 2-3 months is what you should be targeting.

Mytee Extractors - HP60 vs. Lite II 8070

I have ordered the 8070 from Nick. I will keep everyone posted.

Review: Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Headlight Restoration Kit

I'm not sure if it's the camera, but the final finish looks a bit dull for my taste. Did the spray-on clear leave a finish that had heavy texture?

Mytee Extractors - HP60 vs. Lite II 8070

I am in the market for a carpet extractor and have narrowed it down to these two. Based on the info on Mytee's website, it appears that the two units are the same except for the tank sizes. $300 seems like a lot of money for an extra 2 gal of capacity. Does anyone know if there are any other...

    WOWA sealant as only protection?

Aside from cost, it's hard to beat Hydro2 for a quick sealant. But yes, it is certainly possible to rely on such products (including crystal seal) as the only protection.

One step recommendation for newer black Mercedes.

There's a new S3 xxl version that is supposed to cut more, but still finish the same.

One step recommendation for newer black Mercedes.

Try Uber Compound or FG400 on a Meguiars foam cutting disc (the new ones). I've gotten perfect finishes with very very good cut when used correctly. You may need to hit certain sections more than once, but it will get the job done.

    A very glossy Black Civic

Yes, the lighting was working to my advantage here, but believe me guys - this car looked ridiculously good! This car received a wash, clay, one-step of paint correction using HD Adapt on a Rupes Yellow Foam Polishing Pad, followed by TWO coats of CarPro's CQuartz UK Edition that was IR-cured...

    Fg400 with microfiber pad?

Meguiars MF cutting discs. It is somewhat OK on the Finishing Discs but the product seems to get "overheated" as it becomes sorta difficult to wipe off. FG400 works really well on foam though, especially any light cutting foam pad. It will wipe off like a finishing polish.

    Fg400 with microfiber pad?

FG400 doesn't play too well with certain types of MF pads. The paint heats up quickly and can sometimes get dangerously hot. Plus it has a tendency to leave a noticeable haze.

Help..Advise on Which Polish To Use

Menzerna FG400 on the new Meguiars low-profile Foam Cutting Disc. These new pads seem to finish down near perfect on both soft and hard paint if given the right technique.

How to protect detailer's nightmare vehicle in Florida

Other than a coating, the products that come closest to your requirements would be Sonax Polymer Net Shield or the new Meguiars 365.

Thin Clear Coat Daily Driver - Check Me

Just remember, that model year has scratchshield paint. There's a label under the hood that should confirm this. This will make paint correction quite challenging since any heat that is generated during the polishing process could potentially activate the self healing feature...

DP Poli-Coat (new formula) - experiences?

A very generous AGO member (fly07sti) loaned me a bottle of the DP Poli-Coat sealant (new formula). I have a car coming in tomorrow for a basic wash/clay/seal. My usual go-to is Optimum Opti-Seal, but I am curious about the DP Poli-Coat product. For a wash/seal, I wouldn't mind a product that...

    06 Tahoe Z71 (Cquartz UK)

What was the ambient temperature during the initial curing period? The coating may be taking a while to fully cure. Using an IR lamp for the initial cure is important during cold weather.

Initial Impression: Menzerna 3n1 All in One

Considering that the solvents in AIOs, waxes and sealants are generally similar, I don't see why it would be a "complete fail." I have a bottle coming and would probably top it with Optimum Car Wax.

Initial Impression: Menzerna 3n1 All in One

My understanding is the 3in1 uses a wax and not a sealant for its protective abilities.
