    Thanks for the explanation.

    Polishing CQUK

Interesting. Can you explain more details as to what is happening?

Is this hard or soft paint?

During the correction process, sticky paint can be quite difficult to handle, especially if it is soft. Basically what you'll find, is that the panel will heat up quickly and cause the product to "flash," making it very difficult or nearly impossible to wipe off the product residue. There are...

    Review: Optimum Gloss Coat

But if you can do the same number of cars with 10cc of Glosscoat, as you did with 2.0, then what's the issue?

Is this hard or soft paint?

Nissan paint can also be sticky, so consider yourself warned. :)

BFWD + GuraGloss 601 Bonding Agent, Will they Mix?

I'm sorry - I should have been a bit more specific. I wasn't entirely in agreement with your process for the exterior. I thought you could've spent a bit less time on the correction (and probably would've gotten a better finish) and spent less time playing with sealants. FG400 is light...

BFWD + GuraGloss 601 Bonding Agent, Will they Mix?

It sounds to me that you did not spend your time very efficiently. You could've spent about the same amount of time (probably less) and have received equally good correction, but with a longer lasting product (coating).

    Infiniti G35 Corrected and Coated

The owner requested a basic exterior detail - he was interested in a clean-up and protection. I advised him that for a very reasonable extra charge, I could add a light paint correction and a paint coating that would provide 12-18 months of protection. Like any rational person, he agreed once he...

Durability Test - CarPro Reload 2014 and C.A.R. Products Bullet Proof Coating

It is very, very easy - you apply with a block/suede, and then go back after 5-20 min to remove the excess. The surface is super slick and the excess wipes off ridiculously easy. The minor high spots and streaks will still wipe off the next day - which is both cool and a bit concerning (from a...

CQUK Fail! How do I remove it?

You were working with a section that is too large. In hot temperatures, 18" by 18" MAX. You need to apply thick (15ml per coat), and use the CarPro Suede towels to wipe-off. I usually use two Suede towels - one to wipe-off, and a second clean one to do a final wipe. The applicator suedes will...

    Optimum Gloss Coat Review

I would guess that OCW or Opti-seal are appropriate toppers for Gloss-Coat. Thanks for doing the review.

Durability Test - CarPro Reload 2014 and C.A.R. Products Bullet Proof Coating

I decided to start a small sealant and coating durability test on my friend's shop loaner car. This car is parked outside 24/7 and gets washed about once a month. Earlier this year, it received a 2-step paint correction using Menzerna FG400 and CarPro Reflect. The roof, fenders, hood and...

cut & buffing 1yr old paint

Depending on the severity of the orange peel, you may want to try some CarPro Denim pads to start. If they are able to improve the finish to your satisfaction, it may save you a lot of trouble from having to wet-sand.

    Polisher help or recommendations?

I've said this before - the only people recommending a 3401 over a Rupes 21, are those who have not used a Rupes properly.

Suggestions for the roof of this BMW

Measure the paint before you start. If there's that much oxidation, there's a decent chance that it's clear coat failure underneath. If I were you, I would just leave it alone.

    Cquartz Finest

If you've done some detailing before and can be comfortable with the results that you can personally achieve, then feel free to do the correction work yourself. With that said, I think it took me well over 20 cars before I felt that my work was near the ballpark of most CQuartz Finest...

Are there any polishing products that...

Bingo, PiPUK knows his stuff. It's very unlikely that any cream polish leaves behind zero residue. With that said, subjectively, there are some products that clearly leave behind less than others.
