Correct it looks to be overspray on the painted parts of the engine bay. Strut towers sidewalls, any painted pieces are covered in this gunk with the exception of the under panel of the hood. I'll take the suggestions and do a small spot with undiluted apc. Thanks again for the guidance and...

I'd wash them 4 to 5 times at the Laundromat, then only use them on the DD's. They would never ever touch my garage queen again. :) That's just me.

I'm interested , a novice or hobbiest with minimal experience looking to learn. Florida is to far for a bootcamp for me and I wish we had a place like AGO in the Chicagoland area.

Duragloss #531 was recommended, I'm sure a search would give a review but this IMHO is better than any OTC product I've used and a great price.

Ccs red ultrasoft is great for applying my favorite wax. I need to try the white ones for my polish. That reminds me I have to order some products...brb.

Not defending AG but I prefer that the grit guard is not directly at the bottom. A few people on the forums have suggested trimming the bottom pieces to fit.
