Haha!! Right now I only have 3 pads. It would cost over $150+ to have 6 for each step!! I'm ordering more but can probably only afford 3 for each step right now. This stuff gets expensive quick!!

My guess would be because of contaminants/dirt/excess product. When I did mine last fall I didn't get the results I really wanted. Looking back I only used 1 pad per step and the got pretty saturated with product. Don't throw your pads out, clean them!! This is just my opinion of course. I'll...

Wow, maybe that's why I didn't get great results when I did it last fall. I only used 1 pad per step. More pads are DEFINITELY on my purchase list now!! Ha

Wait a minute, if I'm doing the WG 3 step swirl process I should be using 4-6 pads per step? So up to 18 pads with my 7424??

Thanks for your opinions guys! I must have missed the 5.5" part of Mike's videos. At the same time, in my newbie mind, I didn't know there was much difference between the 5.5" and 6.5". I think I will clay again just for good measure. I'm waiting for the next coupon code and I will order some...

I will try switching to the 5.5" pads! Do I need to do anything different now that there is sealant on the truck? will the total swirl remover still cut through like it's suppose to?

The kit came with the CCS orange light cutting pad, CCS white polishing pad, and CCS blue finessing pad. All 3 are 6.5".

I bought the Porter Cable 7424 kit with Wolfgang products (swirl remover) last fall. I have a black 2005 F150 and really didn't get the results I wanted. I think I definitely will use Collinite this time!! Will the Duragloss 501 work well for removing the swirls/light scratches? Maybe I used too...

I bought the Porter Cable/Wolfgang swirl remover combo a couple of months ago. I bought a used Ford F150 from Washington State with a TON of oxidation. I'm AMAZED at how well the Porter Cable did. I highly recommend it!!! The paint looks like new!!
