Need advice for garage floor coating

I am a flake fan. Just like the look. Word of caution, be careful with spilled or excess product on the floor. The grit you put in is fine for water but mix a little ONR (or worse sealant) and you better be one hell of a flexible guy (think doing the splits when detailing). If you search some of...

Your Preferred wash mitt and drying towel for rinseless wash?

Another vote for the GS. Hope Depot for me. It has become my favorite combo with ONR.

Help ME pick my next car

I am far from an expert but from what I understamd the hard clears actually mar pretty easy but are harder to correct. Somebody a lot smarter than me will have a better answer. Glad I could inspire the thought!

    Blower Reviews

Thanks. I really need to fly down next year for DF!!!! It's in and out of my cart as I mull things over. I want one of them, just not sure which one. Was thinking of picking up a leaf blower to just experiment with this weekend (can always use it to blow out the garage etc.)

    New Blower

Jenn, Do you feel from a power standpoint, it's enough. Have you seen the metro blower video? How do you think it compares. Ashok

    Blower Reviews

I'm really worried about the whole "does it have enough power" issue. I guess it's the Tim Allen in me :) The video is cool, but they don't say which model (same video shown for all four products I think). Does a leaf blower do the trick for you like in the video?

    Blower Reviews

It may be how I'm phrasing the search function, but I haven't been able to find a discussion on the different blowers from Metro Vac (not vacums, but the stand alone blowers). I'm looking for guidance or experience from those who have used one of the four, specifically the performance...

    car drying

So is good leaf blower as good as the Metro blower (the big 300 dollar one), or am I going to be frustrated if I get a leaf blower and not the Metro blower. For those that use a leafblower, any basic spec recommendations?

Audi S4 - New Car Prep

I hope to join and go to Audi day at Road America in Elkart Lake, WI. It is Aug 9-10. I have been doing my Stasis research and may pull the trigger some day. I must say that stock this puppy is damn quick so far. I ordered the rear sports diff and it does make "spirrited driving" fun.

Audi S4 - New Car Prep

I dream of an R8 Spyder! Someday (when we are done having kids and they are done spending my money!). This S4 is fast and smooth. Very decieving. I track it Aug 9-10.

Audi S4 - New Car Prep

I figured everyone on this forum loves cars so who better to ask? The car is incredible. I was on the fence between a 335xi and the S4. Glad I was patient. 3's are dime a dozen up here and the new S4 is super rare. I like rare :)

Great work as always Shawn. Your review on the Megs 151 is also appreciated. Where do you put it in comparison to your XMT 360?

Audi S4 - New Car Prep

Well my new car came in a few weeks early and thanks to all of the wonderful advice on the forums (and plenty of videos by Mike), I decided to tackle the new car prep on my own. When I ordered the car back in February, I made the dealer promise me not to wash it. When he e-mailed me my monthly...

What to do to a brand new car ?

I'm in the same boat as you (pick up my new car tomorrow). When I ordered it, I made the dealer promise me not to wash it. They will be removing the adhesive, and that is it. I've blocked off my work day tomorrow so I can spend the day prepping her. Hope yours arrives in great condition...

I dropped my camera! Any suggestions?

If you want good control over depth of field (for those nice car pics with only a portion of the pic in focus) then an slr is the way to go. If you want to be compact then a Panasonic GF-1 with its 20mm f1.7 kit lens is the way to go. Olympus ep-1 is another. I personally have the gf-1 as my fun...
