    Test Spot for Upsale- Where?

I am a detailing hobbyist who does family, friends, and neighbors cars. Many vehicles have scratches (mostly fingernail induced) around one or more of the door handles which can look dirty and dull. Even if there are minimal scratches, that area of the vehicle is typically worn and dirty to some...

    Whats your favorite detailing product?

I've tried a bunch of different products over the years (compounds, polishes, waxes, trim detailers, glazes, quick detailers, etc) and I still find Duragloss Aquawax to be my favorite product.

    Meguair's QID smells terrible

I use that stuff all the time. I have never found the smell offensive. In fact, it's a pretty mild fragrance.....I can barely smell it even right after I use it. As indicated, you might have gotten a bad batch.

Horsepower War is in full effect

Ha. Yeah...nice family car it would make with no A/C and no radio. In fact, I think they even did something to the backseat of the Z28 to lower the weight of the vehicle so I'm not sure how 'family friendly' the back seat is (I'm not 100% sure about this). Besides, unleashing 500 hp in a vehicle...

Horsepower War is in full effect

Couldn't agree more. Not sure what Chevrolet was thinking because they could have taken the SS and tricked it out a little, added the Z28 badging and sold a ton of these. Makes no sense to go the route they did when they already had the ZL1 to compete in the horsepower wars. IMO, there are a ton...

    Build a Detail Kit!

X2 on this. You can get excellent results with these products and they are relatively inexpensive in relation to many other equally effective products. Learning good technique with the buffer is what will get you what you are looking for. If you don't have that, it doesn't really matter what...

Which Duragloss products are your favorites ?

Ditto !! I've tried a LOT of different quick detailers and quick waxes and Aqua is, in my opinion, a superior product. Wouldn't be without it. I just started using 501, too.....and while I don't like to form conclusions based on just one or two applications, so far it has produced some stellar...

White paint and my tiny orange friends

Nothing wrong with DG501 but I would recommend you try a quality wax or sealant as a topper.

    Questions about polishers

Any of the pad cleaners AG sells will work....but Dawn Power Clean works well, too....and you can get it at your local grocery store.

    Questions about polishers

Well, it isn't a Rupes or a Flex but it is still a good quality unit for less than $60. I have used mine extensively to do both minor and major correction work. It does not struggle to get the job done and, for a weekend warrior, it's worth every penny. I just wish they would come out with a...

    Harbor Freight Rotary Buffer

Are you talking about the HF rotary or the HF DA? I didn't care for the HF rotary at all. IMO, it was a waste of money. I ended up buying the Makita 9227C which is a night-and-day difference. I think the HF DA is an excellent tool and I have put a lot of miles on mine....but the rotary unit is...

Please help me not pull my hair out over this brake dust.

Spray some wheel cleaner on and use a scotch-brite pad to scrub. It should come right off. I've had the same problem before (more than once) and the scotch-brite has worked every time. (fyi....never use scotch-brite on the face of a wheel or if the barrel is clear coated.)

    Back to using a rotary.

I like to use both. I can whiz around a vehicle with a rotary and get most defects knocked out much quicker than using a DA. I like to then go back around with my DA to pull out whatever remaining defects there are and create a nice swirl free gloss. The only thing I still battle with is...

    DP waterless wash

Won't hurt to give it a try and see if you like it. Just follow the directions. I prefer the 'rinseless' products over the 'waterless' products but that's just my personal preference. If you are concerned that these products don't work, I and probably thousands of others can assure you that they...

Own a classic...but at what price?!

A lot of these "offers" never make it very far. There are a LOT of tire-kickers out there who never actually pull the trigger. The fact that a 'premium' offer came from an out-of-state sight unseen buyer greatly reduces the odds that anything will ever materialize. I agree with Flash....just...

    Products delivered cold

Possible....but not very likely at all. The products are going to be inside trucks and various distribution centers so they should never be subjected to prolonged freezing temps. Now, if you're not home when the order arrives and the shipping company leaves it on your porch and it sits there for...
