o and i forgot to ask if enamel paints are usually thin. i know the laquer paints were done thin so they do not crack. does anyone have any info on enamel?

my father has awful water spots all over his windows. we have tried vinegar but that didnt work. aswell as dp waterspot remover with no avail. the only thing that did anything was klasse AIO. any other suggestions?

The only polishes i use are by Menzerna. I always get fantastic results. Just try what everyone else said and break it down a bit more, and always use an IPA to wipe it off. it tends to streak a bit

i like this thread haha, i remember when i used to think Meguiars had the best product for everything. i used to telll everyone in my family i was a professional when really i didnt even know what a swirl was. but to me the new nxt 2.0 wax was the best thing since sliced bread.

yea i do door handles and bends by hand as well or i pull out the griots garage da polisher and use that. i just hate the feeling when compounding with a rotary buffer. the compound seems to break down so fast. unless menzerna power gloss doesnt have a very long working time

actually i am experienced with a rotary, i was just wondering if any body else gets very concerned with compounding while using a rotary. i guess i asked the question wrong

yea i always do but some of the cars have some serious RIDS and deep swirls. also he is a perfectionist and is gonna inspect every inch on the paint

i have this on a car on working on now. not only do they look like holograms but they are so hard to just wipe off with a clean rag. i was freakin out at first thinkin i left holograms on a 125K 1962 triple black impala

Ok, i just had a quick question on compound. Should you ever worry about compounding paint with a rotary buffer? i have a client who has about 23 show cars so i have a lot of work ahead of me and he wants total paint correction on a few black cars. I am nervous about screwing up the paint...

i bought the flex when it first cam out last February or so, so im sure the warranty is no good. i understand that the gears are supposed to fail to prevent further damage but maybe they should give you extra gears when you buy the machine. just a thought

thanks everyone for replying. i will call flex tomorrow to try to get this solved. it seems as if the the spring on the emergency stop that makes the button pop back up got pushed in crooked which caused it to get jammed. hopefully flex can figure something out so this doesn't happen again or...
