Have you tried a water spot remover? It may have etched into the clear. I hate to suggest it but wet sanding may be the only option if it is etched that deep.

I am not currently although I have it on my bid sheet as an option. People around here cringe at the price. I am interested in what is making people bite on it though because no matter how hard I pitch it they look at me like I'm trying to sell them something they don't need.

Also if you want to try to go less aggressive you could try Griots All in One sealant. I use it with LC Hydro tech tangerine pads and for a one step it does a good job.The photo is a 50/50 shot on a VW Jetta.
