    Wheels First?

In the IT world K.I.S.S also means Keep It Simple Stupid, but I have seen it go both ways. I think Simon is the politically correct version... lol

    Wheels First?

@Mike, thank you for the information very helpful. I do understand the logic of cleaning the wheels first so that the car does not waterspot while you are cleaning the wheels and I also understand the logic of now wanting to get wheel cleaner on the rest of the car. I don't have the water...

    Wheels First?

So this may be a stupid question, but it appears everyone here cleans the wheels first. Is there a particular reason why? I use a three bucket system wash, rinse, and wheels. However I clean the wheels after I clean the rest of the car, while waiting for everything to dry. Sent from my...

Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine?

So I want deny it I was kinda looking for you guys to talk me out of it, but at the same time I was looking to see if anyone would talk me out of the Chemical Guys. Since there really has not been anything really negative said about the CG products I think I am going to give them a try this...

Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine?

I have looked at the V7, but I don't want to use it as I am not sure how it will work with my Zymol Titanium Wax. One I don't want it to remove it and two I don't want it affect the ability to be able to layer it on the car. The P40 which I already use and love is carnauba based so I don't worry...

Ok, so I am getting ready to put a rather large order of car supplies in for the summer and I on the fence in regards to the Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine and wanted to get everyones thoughts. I am looking to purchase clay lube, quick detailer, and a rinseless wash. I was going to buy the...

Wash mitts: do you put your hand inside?

I just recently started using a "mit" so far I have been sticking my hand in it, which I think is great for washing the car as makes it harder to drop it. However when it comes to rinsing it off and scrubbing it on the grit guard in the bottom of my bucket I find that its next to impossible to...

    DEEP scratches = Suggestions ?

Do you have full coverage insurance, if so looks like you should put a claim in? Cant really tell in the photo, but its possible there is damage behind the bumper. I would at least take it somewhere and have them pull that bumper cover off so they can take a look at the real bumper. Case in...

    Recommendations for quick detailed/spray wax

I use Chemical Guys P40 Quick Detailer. P40 is carnauba based and it is designed to not strip or remove wax or sealants. It can be diluted as well which makes it very coast effective. I spray it on the car at full strength after I wash the car, but before drying it. This helps to...

    Turtle Wax Tire Coat Warning

In the one picture it almost looks like the tire is peeling apart? Are you sure that what is peeling in the photo there is the cleaner and not the tire?

    QD over Wax

I use Zymol Titanium and have had very nice results with Chemical Guys P40 Quick Detailer. P40 is carnauba based and it is designed to not strip or remove wax or sealants. It can be diluted as well which makes it very coast effective. I spray it on the car at full strength after I wash the car...

    Under carrage salt removal

Very nice, using your design I think that it would be very easy to add something that would allow the mixing and application of cleaner.

    Under carrage salt removal

Can you post pictures of your device? Plans on how to build it maybe? An interesting idea would be to take something like your device and configure it so that you could spray a mixture of vinegar and water on the undercarriage, let that sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. Thoughts?

    Under carrage salt removal

I would also caution against spraying water with a pressure washer under a car, as you can never be sure exactly where there water is going like say your transmission or differentials. For example my Volvo S60 in the owners manual says that it is capable of being driven through about 10 inches...

    Under carrage salt removal

For me I only clean what can be seen easily from around the car. I know if you are looking to get a truly 100% spotless car then you are going to want to get under there and scrub it down. However I treat the undercarriage as out of sight out of mind... Most newer cars that are being sold in...
