    What's better than Rain-X?

I guess I must be super lucky....because I've always had pretty good luck with Rain-X. And I guess I must have gotten a bottle of Rain-X this past October that was super-charged, because I was able to get nearly 6 months of decent use out of it without any streaking when running the wipers. It...

Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner Car Wash Adam's Car Shampoo Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate ...are the three I have on hand and currently use. I would consider the the Meguiar's as probably my go-to considering price per quantity relative to performance.

    Waxing and Polishing Towels?

For exterior paint, I like The Rag Company's (particularly the Edgeless line) offerings and the Griot's Garage PFM wax removal and detailing towels the best. For interior detailing I just use Meguiar's Supreme Shine.

    HD Speed Topping Question

I've heard that Speed generally lasts a month to maybe two months tops....whereas Poxy (which is the protective wax/sealant contained in Speed) can apparently last anywhere between 3 to 6 months (generally 4 or 5) by itself. Hmmm....interesting. According to 3D, Speed is 25% Poxy (the other...

    HD Speed Topping Question

Here's one thing I don't understand. People act like topping Speed is odd...because it already contains a wax/sealant....but wouldn't that make adding a second coat of anything to anything a bit odd as well? For example, if adding a layer of Poxy on top of Speed is odd...wouldn't adding a...

    Hd speed and hd poxy?

Yep...using Speed and Poxy every week or two would be serious overkill and a waste of time and product. You could just use 3D Express Wax to freshen it up between major sealant/waxing applications every couple of months or so until it's time to apply a new coat. And it doesn't even have to be...

Purple spider pads with a AIO.

And THIS is why I decided against the spider pad myself. I'm sure it's a great pad....and if I win the lottery someday maybe I'll buy some...but when I can buy 6 Buff and Shine or Lake Country pads for basically the same cost of two spider pads, economically it's just not feasible for me.

Irony of ironies...the gentleman I spoke with today at Optimum who provided me with the info I passed along was named "Ron" ;)

No problem, Tony...I like to learn and my curiosity got the best of me (LOL). I also had some questions regarding Power Clean, so it was definitely worth the time and effort. This is an interesting topic to me. I've bought several "task specific" items in the past, but lately have found...

    Favorite Waterless Wash

Well, I stand corrected. You are correct. I just called Optimum was informed that there are polymers used for cleaning which leave a bit of a slick lubrication to enhance gloss and for the hydrophobic effect. So while it's not a wax or a sealant, it does leave behind some polymer properties.

    Favorite Waterless Wash

That's my thinking regarding ONR. ONR Wash and Wax is a separate product, which clearly leaves behind a wax. ONR Wash and Shine doesn't mention any wax, sealant, or protection in any of their marketing....which, I've got to think, if it did include that, it WOULD be mentioned somewhere, if for...

    Favorite Waterless Wash

Thanks, Rippy. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that the manufacturer recommends a dilution ratio somewhere along the lines of 3 to 1, but I can't find where many people have used it at that level.

Is N914 essentially the same as ONR? From what I've read, it appears to be nearly identical (just a different brand).

What is the dilution ratio for DG 931 to be used as a drying aid? The same as for a quick detailer? I know there are a few different ways and different dilution ratios that this product can be used for.

    Touch up paint questions...

So does the liquid "replace" the need for a clear coat? Or just act as an agent to help in the application of it?

    Touch up paint questions...

Unfortunately it was only the paint. I didn't ask the Honda dealership if they had any type of clear coat to go with it, and they didn't volunteer any...so I'm guessing they don't offer it. But I do like your suggestion about the Dr. ColorChip...I wonder if they have and offer clear coat that...

    Touch up paint questions...

I have a few very tiny spots on the hood which look like they are probably rock chips, and I just bought some touch up paint from the dealership to match the color/car. I'm getting ready to polish and apply a sealant/wax sometime in the next few weeks, and I'm curious if I should use a clear...

    Iron/Fallout Removers?

Same here. Purchased it from AG during a 25% off sale. Can't speak to it's performance from personal standpoint yet but and will be giving it a try sometime during the next few weeks. Everything I've seen, read and heard seems to indicate that it's one of the best, though, albeit a bit pricey.

3D ONE vs. BOSS Correcting Cream

Thanks for your input, guys, it is very much appreciated. It seems that these two products are very similar, but as WRAPT said and judging from things I've heard, the 3D product should provide a little better cut. I also agree that maybe going with something like Sonax Perfect Finish or EX...

3D ONE vs. BOSS Correcting Cream

I have been researching and considering these two products, and from what I've gathered they appear to be very similar. 3D ONE is advertised as somewhat of an all-in-one (similar to HD Speed) except the cut is more aggressive and it doesn't contain any fillers or wax. BOSS Correcting Cream...
