    Garage lighting suggestions

I got the fixtures from Walmart for about $12 a piece, so about $72 before tax. They still work great, even in the cold weather. I highly recommend them.

    Optimum Power Protectant smaller quantity?

Thanks guys. I'll be ordering some soon along with some OPC. Is the common practice to clean with OPC and then top it off with OPP? Or does OPP do enough cleaning by itself? I suppose OPC might be needed for exterior plastics where OPP might have enough cleaning on its own for interior...

    Optimum Power Protectant smaller quantity?

I'd like to try this OPP stuff, but I'd rather not get a 128 oz. jug. I've heard that the Optimum Leather Protectant is pretty much the same thing. Is this correct and if not, can OPP be purchased in smaller quantities?

So who read the huge thread on APC on leather cleaning...

Thanks! I need to try that OPP stuff. I've still got some Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant that I use on the interior plastics. I assume it will be fine to use?

So who read the huge thread on APC on leather cleaning...

Gen 1 or Gen 2? I think the material is cheaper on the Gen 2's. Possibly not even leather.

So who read the huge thread on APC on leather cleaning...

I'm confused about finished leather as well. In fact the "leather" that Mazda claims my seats are on my 2010 Mazdaspeed3 are pretty much vinyl as far as I can tell, and not really leather. I don't really know anything about the different types of leather, but I looked at the underside of the...

    WG Leather care combo

I just tried it out last night and the conditioner does smell like leather, although it's not a very strong smell. I wasn't sure if I was using enough of the conditioner. My towel seemed to absorb a lot of the product. What does everyone use to apply this stuff?

Best way to take care of a heavy scratch!!!

Like sohail99 said, a spot buff might be enough to satisfy you. Sometimes it's not worth taking off a lot of clear coat to completely remove it, if it's not down to the base coat already. A spot buff will make it less noticeable. Try that first.

    WG Leather care combo

It's about a year old, so a cleaning is probably needed. OP, I'll let you know after I use the stuff tonight what I think. I've had it for a couple weeks now, but haven't taken the time to try it out.

    WG Leather care combo

Is the cleaner necessary for newer leather? Is it ok to skip that and use the conditioner only?

    Griot's Wrenches

It really shouldn't bend unless you're trying to bend it. I'd be curious to see if the wrench you bought actually fits behind the backing plate. BTW, I see you're in Pittsburgh. Go Penguins!

    WG Leather care combo

I haven't yet, but I've heard that it actually smells like leather. Not sure about the greasy feeling. I've got a sample of it, I'll try it out tonight. Hopefully it's not too cold to affect it any.

    Griot's Wrenches

I don't have any problem with the wrench. I'd rather they cut cost with the wrench than the actual machine. It has to be thin anyway in order to fit it behind the backing plate.
