    Bogo ???

That's the problem with keeping a small window open at work. I forget to scroll down to the bottom. Old age is not creaping in anymore, it's running fast (well as fast as you run on a walker....) Of course you do know that I just received an order with SS II this week. At this rate you and Max...

    Need help with heavy oxidation

This might sound crazy but have you tried an all in one like poor boys or kaio? They have a little more lubricity than polish alone and might help with the streaks you are seeing.

    Need help with heavy oxidation

Jimmie, You might try Poor Boy's Pro polish also. It has worked for me in the past. Does not do real well with swirl removal (unless used with wool) as it is a chemical polish. But is does wonders with oxidized paint.

    Kleen-Strip Auto Prep....

You can also get this in a non-aeresol can at places like Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, etc. I use it in a pinch if I run out of my normal prep.

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste How long between layers?

Nice looking BMW. Makes me wish I still had my wife's 3 series. I'm in the same boat as Sal, I have used Natty's blue and red for a while but could not resist the bogo on SS II. I have a older Acura that belongs to a friend in need of some serious TLC. Can't wait to see what it will do to that...

    Detailing Mag??

Pat, Don't give up on this. Look at the racks and you will find 20 or more mags for cars, guns, boats, etc. Just because someone has a magazine like you are talking about does not mean you can't do one better. Do your research, try to think "out of the box" and see what happens. One thing...

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste How long between layers?

LOL, I always knew that BMW's were hot cars but "roaster"???? Take tonight off, relax and add another layer tomorrow. You could add one before then but we all need to take a break away from our cars every now and then... Don't we ???

    Just got a new truck....

If the vinyl needs a deep cleaning, Megs #39 comes first. If the car is not a complete disaster, either 303 or Einszett works well for me.

Are all clay bars the same?

Nrengle, Call up the folks at AG. They sell (and test) so many clays that I'm sure they can help with what you need. I use Clay Magic, Meguir's and Pinnacle Ultra Poly. Never had a need to go much past them although in the past I have used clays from some of their competition. I just like the...

Are all clay bars the same?

For a good mild bar similar to the Mothers in a kit, try the Megiur's blue. You can get just the bar without any lube.

Are all clay bars the same?

Boy this is a loaded question.... A lot of us think the best bars are no longer available in the US. Our Canadian friends and others can get them but not us... Having said that, there are a lot of very good bars that you can use. Depending on what you need they can range from a VERY mild...

Maison, Yes, It's the same. I just bought another gallon at their competition last night while buying some plumbing supplies. Ever wonder why detailing and sewer pipes go together???

CD-2 would get my vote. Buff down for matte finish or leave as is for more gloss.

Calling All Swirl And Scratch Removers!!!

Ouch, That looks like my neighbors car. He removed the bugs on the front bumper with 0000 steel wool. Came over later and asked what type of wax would "fill in" the paint....

    Nitrogen in tires?

Ricka, Ethanol contains aprox. 76,000 BTU/Gal and gasoline contains aprox. 115,500 BTU/Gal. E10 (10% ethanol) contains 111,550 BTU/Gal. or roughly 97% of the energy content of gasoline. Depending on the engine, computer, terrain and driving habits you can get somewhat close to your mileage...

    Nitrogen in tires?

wytstang, It depends on the car. With the Camry, the latest estimates from the auto magazines are around 20 months. For the fancy Lexus, about 103 years.... I had a POS S80 Volvo that was getting 25mpg (on premium). At my usual mileage per year (24,000) and the current cost for fuel, I should...

    Nitrogen in tires?

Wytstang and Killrwheels, You guys should have to put up with my daughter. I was passed by a silver Prius today on the I-24 this morning. Her only comment? "Dad, even the Prius drivers go faster than you!!!" At least I did pass one guy (I was running between 60 and 65 on the way in), the...

    Hybrid engine cleaning

OK all, I finally got the chance to try and kill myself cleaning the engine on the hybrid. Overall it is just like any other engine (at least for Toyota’s). Everything appeared to be sealed nice, no sparks, no need for rubber boots, paramedics or the county coroner. My wife and kids were a...
