Update platform? you mean update the phone software? go to blackberry.com you can download the most recent software from them or from your phone service provider. The software you download to your computer is installed in your BB via the sync manager software.

OMG! You bought a lot of good stuff! I guess the first thing you should master is the washing/drying procedure because it's vital for you not to induce new swirls to your car. After that give it a try claying, and then polish a test spot so you can begin to know how power polishing works...
