Why I will never pay more than $20 for a wax!

It was not too bad to remove. Maybe because of the glaze? It was just something I came across in the garage the other day. I'll not be using it. It was really just trying to make a point. I'm gonna try Nattys red this weekend. See how I like how it looks. Care to send me a sample of Souveran? Lol

Why I will never pay more than $20 for a wax!

That is exactly what I am saying. The pop is in the prep, not the wax. As far as spending all that money . . . I'm a detailer. Those are tools of my trade. And yes, my Range Rover "deserves" better than a $4 wax. But come on guys. I found it in the garage while I was working and remembered that...

1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow - what are these marks?

So are you a huge fan of Klasse sealant? I've got some around here somewhere. What do you think about it on a white car like this one? I've also got some Nattys Red, P21S concours and old school Meg's 16 (leaning towards the Meg's)

1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow - what are these marks?

The pic of the red paint is one that I found on here showing pigtails. Mine didn't look like those. I tried the Meg's Ultimate Coumpound with the orange lake country pad and the Flex rotary. It worked really really well. I was able to do in a few passes what I had been trying all day to do. I...

1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow - what are these marks?

According to my research, these are pig tails That is not what my paint looks like. It's not one curly q type line. It looks more like this but not as bad. There are a lot fewer and they are more spaced apart. What's the best way of getting rid of these?

1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow - what are these marks?

The paint was in horrible shape. I did wash and clay the car first. The pink clay came out black! The owner said he has not had it detailed in several years. After the cloying, I could see the paint was clearly abused, scratches, swirls, oxidation, stains, you name it. I figured the best route...

You Might Be An Autogeek If You . . .

    1. Ever left a business card on the car next to you in the parking lot that was so bad you thought "This car deserves better". 2. walked up to a total stranger and said "I would love to get my hands on your hood (car). Feel free to chime in . . . (lets keep it PG-13)

Help! Buffer takes off at full speed

Hey autogeeks. Got a problem . . . While buffing, after a my rotary buffer takes off at full speed even thought it is set on 2 or 3. Any of you ever encounter this? Is it the brushes or something like that? After it cools down, it goes back to normal until it gets hot again. Then pull the...

Is Liquid Glass a true LSP?

Hey guys. Anyone know is liquid glass is a true LSP? Label says its a polish and I wonder if it's a polish in the strictest sense. Does it cleanse the paint? Remove glaze oils? Etc. I know there are better products out there, but I love this stuff!

    Sample Giveaway

Richard, my friend. You don't owe us anything, especially an apology. You are doing this out of your own kindness and we can't expect anything from you. If you get around to shipping the samples, great. If not, no biggie. Shouldn't look a gift horse (or detailing supplies) in the mouth.

    Rotary buffing trick I tried

I just tried and had great success with a technique I tried with a rotary buffer. I applied and spread my compounds and polishes to the panel with the pad before I attached it to the backing plate. This really helped cut down on splatter and sling. If you already knew this trick, sorry didn't...
