    Look what I found

I'm sure the selection of products back then was slim...maybe an in-depth analysis of the merits of rubber vs. nylon hose. Do I use rubbing or polishing compound? Are diapers better than terry-cloth towels? Ah, the good old days.

    I need a good camera!

I'm with FastZR1 here. You have a lot of decisions to make before you buy. What's your budget? Will you be doing anything with the camera other than recording your detailing work? Will you want to expand your system in the future, and add lenses, a different flash, etc.? A great camera does not...

    Smart Car Clean Up

I waited 13 months for my triple black Smart. Everyone that got into it was surprised how roomy it was - and getting in and out is simple...much easier than my Honda S2000 that replaced the Smart. Other than the quirky transmission (the reason I sold it after three months - at a profit) I liked...

How to remove baked on manufacturer's protectant tape

I know that there are some things that peanut butter will work well on. I've taken a few hard to remove stickers off with it. Smear it on and let the oils soak in for a while. Not high tech at all but it can't hurt to try it.

    Clear-bra

There are two different ways to go with clear bras. I had the heavy vinyl one applied to my Audi TT and although it protected pretty well, it wasn't very nice looking over time. It collected dirt around the edges that worked in underneath and then the corners would start peeling up, and it was...

    TV experts, I need you!!!!

I have an early Phillips plasma and it's been great. Bright accurate color and great shadow detail...not just black like a lot of televisions. That being said, it's very heavy and throws off a lot of heat - but IT IS six years old and technology has changed significantly. My two LCD's are Sony...

    Garage lighting suggestions

I like those, and it's a great price. indianaryan, I agree with BobbyG and look at 8' fixtures if they'll fit. The more light the better. I have five 8' double fixtures in my L-shaped three car garage and still would like to double that. I think some kind of covers are a necessity as well, in...

    Good, quick first car?

My advice - stay away from the German cars. Great cars, don't get me wrong, but you need ample resources to repair them. And in your price range, you ARE going to be buying cars that will require work. The Lexus is-300 is a good suggestion as is the Mustang GT idea. I loved my old Works MINI...

    Help? Pricing and packages

$20/hour is okay if you're just out to make pocket money, but if iti becomes a full-time business you'll be selling your services for cheap and losing money of those expensive chemicals. '07 Smart Car paint....hard???

Oh, you didn't say it was a Euro car. I'm not too familiar with all of the variations that might have been done there. I was speaking from experience with the black '09 Smart that I briefly owned. Solid black plastic all the way through. Good Luck.

    '07 Smart Car paint....hard???

Most Smart car body panels are molded in the color that you see, black being one of them. There is no paint involved. All you are doing is polishing plastic.
