DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

Oh 1800lm. Sorry thought you said 1200. It might be "overkill" but I don't think it will cause any issues. Is that your only option in the U.K.? If so, then I'd give it a shot and return if it doesn't work out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

Should be fine, I am using 1200 lumen bulbs and it's perfect! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UKLM02A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tapainc-20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My First Motorcycle Detail (2012 Harley Road Glide)

Took on my first Motorcycle client today which was a very dirty and swirled 2012 Harley Road Glide. No where near as difficult as I thought it would be but had its challenges in the hard to reach areas. Kind of wish I had a smaller polisher for some of the tighter areas. At first I tried using...

    What Soap for Ceramic Coating

I have been using Mr. Pink with my Gtechniq EXO for 12 months and the coating is still super hydrophobic and I don't see anything left behind.

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

This is the best thread....EVER. Absolutely love this setup and it gives off some serious light and should show imperfections with ease. My car isn't a good example since it doesn't have any imperfections to find :xyxthumbs:. The tripod is way more sturdy than I thought it would be even when...

GTechniq CS Light and EXO V3 Hazing

Thanks for the tips. CSL was a total breeze and came off like it was nothing. Maybe I am just not waiting long enough for the CSL to cure before applying EXO. I will try the 3 towel method as I was only using 2, maybe that might help. Ive used CQuartz and also McKees 37 Paint coating and never...

GTechniq CS Light and EXO V3 Hazing

Getting frustrated with the EXO. I bought an AC unit today, got my garage temp down to 70 degrees and I'm still getting haze. It does seem like the haze might goes away after letting it sit for about 10 minutes but it worries me if I were to take the panel out in the sun that it will show like...

GTechniq CS Light and EXO V3 Hazing

I'm pretty sure the hazing is because of the heat in my garage. Paint temp is about 80 degrees right on the money which is probably pushing the envelope. I'm going to wait until later tonight when it cools down to reapply. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GTechniq CS Light and EXO V3 Hazing

How much time does CSL need to cure before applying EXO? GTechniq's instructions said that you can apply EXO directly after CSL. I figured it would take 1/2 hour to apply CSL to an entire car therefore when I waited 2 hours I was surprised it still hazed. Maybe it is flashing to quickly on me...

GTechniq CS Light and EXO V3 Hazing

I am testing these two products and am running into a hazing issue. So I polished down my testing hood and used panel wipe to cleanup any polishing oils. I applied the CS Light which was fine and had no issues. I followed up with EXO about 20 minutes later and I am getting haze no matter how...

Rupes 21 Speed Selector Not Working

I ended up needing a new Motor Housing for mine which was 93$ after shipping. Mine was definitely stuck at a pretty high speed, probably a 4 or 5. Thankfully I ended up getting my money back from the seller by opening a PayPal Case since he stopped responding to my text messages. I just got it...

    Cleaning Ceramic Coated Wheels

Yeah so this guy bought a wheel coating (no idea what brand) for his Audi S3 and never cleaned the wheels for a year. I tried just soap and water with pressure washer and just couldn't get the wheels to where I wanted them. It also seemed the coating was already gone since the water was not...

    Cleaning Ceramic Coated Wheels

Hi Guys, I have a customer who had his whole car including wheels ceramic coated with GTechniq. Im familiar with cleaning ceramic coated paint but never wheels. I normally use Megs Wheel Brightener diluted 4:1. Would this be safe on ceramic coating? I also have IronX that I could use if needed...

Rupes 21 Speed Selector Not Working

Yeah it was a modified washer (flat ends). Obviously taking them out did nothing. Going to ship it to Rupes today so see what the cost will be to fix. Seller agreed to help me out with the cost of replacement. He said it was working fine before shipping so I guess its possible it got tossed...

Rupes 21 Speed Selector Not Working

I finally got a response from the seller. He said it was working fine before he sent it off an to try taking the 5" backing place off and remove the washer? Going to see what he is talking about tomorrow when I get to my shop. Not sure what a washer would have anything to do with that?

Rupes 21 Speed Selector Not Working

I was trying to save a buck so I purchased a used Rupes bigfoot 21 polisher from a member on a different forum. Unfortunately I went to use it for the first time today and noticed the speed selector is not working. I get the same speed whether its on speed 1 or speed 6. It works good on whatever...

Anyone doing washes for company employes with signup sheets?

That's a tough one to make money on. Especially since most of the cars are probably neglected and have never had a clay bar or wax touch the paint which makes washing/drying a lot more difficult and time consuming. It usually takes me about 30-45 minutes to do a basic full wash including wheels...

2015 RAV 4 Polished with McKee's 37 & Coated with Crystal Serum Light & EXO

What shampoo are you guys using after applying the coating? Is Duragloss OK to use? I wanted to buy the Gtechniq G-Wash but it is back-ordered on Autogeek. My car was coated last week and I am getting the itch to wash it :).

    Clearcoat Fracturing versus Clearcoat Failure

Yeah, the painter said he would do the job without stripping it but he would not warranty the work. If I have the car stripped he will offer me lifetime warranty. He was referred to me from a friend but he sounds a little shady. I would really like to know if he is being legitimate or not.
